‘23 IL WR Carnell Tate (Ohio State commit)

After Carnell tweeted about being a first rounder anywhere, he went on some “Holier than thou” post about them being the absolute best odds and so on. If it was truly about best odds, it’s all about Bama currently

So he quote tweeted Tate’s tweet and said this directly to him?

I don't know how one can look at the highest level of CFB the last few years and say WR's are a dime a dozen. Running back's are a dime a dozen. The team with the best WR's won the CFB Championship in 2019,2020, and would have won it again in 2021 if all of their WR's didn't get hurt (coincidence?).

If WRs were a dime a dozen in this offense specifically, why did the WR rotation get trimmed to effectively just Tillman, Payton, and Velus after Florida? Yes, they got high production from guys who hadn't produced before, but they also sent Hyatt and the Holidays to the shadow realm in order to do it.

This isn't a statement on Tate, or that we won't be fine without him or whatever. But I think the idea that we can throw janitors in there at WR and be elite is crazy optimistic.
They gave WRs like Holiday and Hyatt several opportunities. Those guys just have to catch the damn ball. They got opportunities just like Velus, Tillman, Payton; some guys just made the most of their opportunities.

So he said life is about making choices leading to success and that’s a shot?

Yeah but.. That's my point though?

You’re a troll for Ohio State but I agree with you here.

Hartline just saying he thinks Ohio State gives the kid the best shot at being successful; I’m sure much like Pope feels the same way about Tennessee giving the best chance

I don’t even know what that means.

Some of y’all just over sensitive. I’ve read the tweets. Don’t really see any “shots fired” but that’s just me.
I don’t either yet his mom seemed to take offense. Of course if today goes as expected maybe that was all to “shock the world”.
