They're in it deep with Dante Moore and he visited with Tate last weekend. They signed a pretty good one last year but he's a tier below.
He's put some guys in the league who have had decent amounts of success. Chase Claypool, Will Fuller, Michael Floyd come to mind. Others like TJ Jones, Equanimeous St. Brown, Ben Skowronek, and Miles Boykin were drafted and made the 53-man roster. Not necessarily a who's who list, but some recognizable names across 12 years. Nothing like what tOSU has pumped out.Why would LSU be an option anyway? Is Brian Kelly known for his innovative offense that showcases WR's and gets them to the league?
Remains to be seen IMO on Moore. Kelly has been on him for a long time from ND, but LSU the program is new for him and I'm pretty sure he's just visited once. If I had to guess I'd take the field (ND, Oregon, Miami) over LSU for Moore.
I think Tate has a similar relationship with Kelly/LSU, so they may have overtaken OSU for 2nd behind us, but that's going to be a "second place is the first loser" distinction that has no meaning IMO.
If he does show up on campus for the BBQ then IMO we'll see all the CB's roll in and it will be all but over. If not then who knows, but ultimately he's been here 3x, we have Nico, and we've got Heup's offense. He's been to LSU once, they don't have a QB in this class (at all, let alone with a relationship like Nico's) and Kelly's offense is much less passing oriented.
I think it’s:Like it was said before, other surprise teams will pop up and take up a piece of the pie. Maybe it's now
50% UT
30% LSU
20% OSU
Surely OSU will fight to get him back on campus now that they may be losing traction. Hope he never returns there.
