All the signs are there that he committed to us…. All we are waiting on is the flood of CB’s right before he makes it official. From a recent article, I think it's OSU in need of funds. If money is the deal, we'll close it out. OSU has recency success and WRU push over us right now, obviously. NiL is 100% in our favor, the on-field success on theirs.
Wouldn’t be surprised if Tillman went 1st round next year if he has another year like last year, senior bowl director says he’s a more physical and faster then kid who went the 1st from USCFrom a recent article, I think it's OSU in need of funds. No doubt that would be helpful in the future, but a year too late for Tate. OSU just put up 2 actual first round WRs in one class while we hope to get in 1 next year, a decade since Patterson last did it. From that perspective, probably too little too late. Though what Heupel did with Velus, Payton, and Tillman can't be overlooked...just not as impressive or objective to a 17 YO as a couple of 1st rd draft picks unfortunately. We have other thing$$$ in our favor thoughWouldn’t be surprised if Tillman went 1st round next year if he has another year like last year, senior bowl director says he’s a more physical and faster then kid who went the 1st from USC
Also people want to talk abt raiola, but people forget he’s a 24No doubt that would be helpful in the future, but a year too late for Tate. What we have in our favor is Nico and this offense. The widely held opinion by most recruits that see guys at camps and 7 vs 7's is that Nico is the best QB in this class. Other recruits seem to gravitate to that kid and his family. You just don't hear recruits talk about Arch at all.No doubt that would be helpful in the future, but a year too late for Tate. It would be a little surprising, IMO, if only for the fact that Tillman will be 3 years older than Drake London was on draft day, 2023.Wouldn’t be surprised if Tillman went 1st round next year if he has another year like last year, senior bowl director says he’s a more physical and faster then kid who went the 1st from USC
Their best WR is still on the team, too, and will likely be the first WR drafted, next year; Jaxon Smith-Njigba. He had 15 catches for 347 yards and 3 TDs in their bowl game, and went for 60/958/6 across their final 5 games. No doubt that would be helpful in the future, but a year too late for Tate. We play Alabama and Georgia every year and they’re always at least 1 of those in the cfb if not 2, there hasn’t been a pac in the cfb in a minute and when there is one, they get boat racedIt would be a little surprising, IMO, if only for the fact that Tillman will be 3 years older than Drake London was on draft day, 2023.
Now, Tillman had 48 catches, 881 yds, and 10 TDs in his final 7 games, last year. If he can maintain that pace across a full 12 games, this year, it will be tough to ignore. That's an 82/1510/17 pace.
Before his ankle injury, London was on pace for 132/1626/11. Tillman's average yds/rec was significantly higher, suggesting that on the surface (without accounting for the differences in offense), that he's more of a deep threat or that he is better after the catch.
That's fair, but London was a for-real talent, too. He'd have been dominant at Bama or UGA, too...well, as much as a WR can dominate in an offense like UGA's. He was the first WR off the board and taken 8th overall for a reason. It could be that he has everyone fooled, but he was dude, last season. We play Alabama and Georgia every year and they’re always at least 1 of those in the cfb if not 2, there hasn’t been a pac in the cfb in a minute and when there is one, they get boat raced
