I'm fine with no SEC team in the CFP this year

In what way? FSU isn't that good and has a pathetic strength of schedule compared to Alabama
They went undefeated. Their defense is top notch. They did everything they needed and more (and overcame adversity) and still won.

It feels like the injury to Travis is the excuse and it’s BS. One player is going to cause you to fall out EVEN if you win?

Aside from UGA on a neutral field who did Bama beat that is so great? The SEC was down as whole. The ACC had 6-4 record vs SEC this year. The 3/4 SEC wins were over the scrubs of the conference.

If we are just putting in teams by the eye test then why play the season? Let’s just put the top four teams with the best recruiting classes and play a 2 week season.

The other 84 players on FSU are probably just sitting there like WTF?

That's what they did when Gump moved up 2 spots in a bye week.

I keep hearing “style points” - Bama has one game that is style points and that’s UGA on a neutral field. Negative style points (what the hell is a style point anyway?) for USF, Auburn, etc.

Meanwhile, FSU looked like a juggernaut until Travis went down and they still managed to keep things moving forward. One player injury kills the entire teams shot at a playoff? Ridiculous. Can’t wait to see what they do to hand wave low ranked teams into the top 12 to fit their agenda next year. And don’t be surprised if it comes back to hurt us eventually.

They will but you are punishing Alabama for playing Texas and losing and rewarding Michigan for not playing a decent Power 5 team. Alabama has already said this statement. Basically, they are like why did we schedule Texas? If we had played UL Monroe instead, we would be in now.
Of course Bama makes it anyway while FSU, who played LSU and Florida OOC and went undefeated gets left out.

I agree that Georgia should also be in, but Texas' win over Bama is a big deal.
Right but my point is the committee mixed rationale to get these 4 teams. Alabama, of course, is the beneficiary and UGA and FSU both get screwed. Congrats to your team, you guys got the benefit of the doubt, again.

Takeaways from today:

Vols would have got screwed last year even if they had not lost to SC. With Hooker's injury they would have been kicked to the curb.

FSU should have called Travis's injury a lower extremity injury and called it day to day, and suggested there was a chance for him to be ready for the playoffs. They would have been advised to keep Travis out of sight until after the playoff ranking were announced.

Alabama vs Michigan in the semifinals, aka The Cheater Bowl. A perfect opportunity for Life Lock to sign up as the sponsor.

Frankly, I am alright with Alabama and Georgia being left out. If was a different program from the SEC, maybe I would have conference pride but those teams are always there and their fanbases act like spoiled babies. I want to see them cry.

GEORGIA IS-----Whining!! LOL.

Huh? What does God fearing have to do with the impact of a conference championship? This statement made more sense in your head than it does in a post.

A conference championship trophy is treated as some false idol by the playoffs committee. It’s nothing but superstition.

In no way does owning a conference championship in the PAC 12 prove you’re better than any member of another power 5 conference. Yet for some reason, having a conference trophy is supposed to prove something per the playoffs committee.

I don’t know how else to explain that. Maybe just assume you and I just don’t share enough like personality to communicate and move on.

Michigan played the weakest schedule especially through 9 game. Texas in my opinion is not a top 4 team. They beat Alabama when they were finding themselves. Remember we were looking forward to facing Milroe at one time. That championship game against Oklahoma State was a team that was blown out by at least 4 TD's against South Alabama and Central Florida. Both of those teams finished 6-6.

In these situations, Bama usually proves the committee right.

Wow. Sensitive are we? I agree with your paragraphs but that ridiculous statement in the post I first responded to made zero sense.
