So I'm a caveman when your the halfwit making outrageously racist assumptions about how he's going to be a drug dealer and smoke blunts. OK...
I'm concerned with how challenging it is for you to understand that college football players are generally not in college for their degree. It is widely know that "student athlete" is the biggest joke about the NCAA. Sure he would have a diploma (still will I'm betting), but what is he gonna do with it? I'm sure its in a worthless subject.
So brewer, when is the proper setting to punch him then?

Haha cute. Not as much defending as saying the dude got what he deserved.
That is not how a mature adult acts and I don't care if he or she plays sports or not! That doesn't justify it one iota! One of the absolute tell-tale signs of maturity is having control over your emotions and this guy does not!
He could've refrained from doing all the bad-mouthing about Kiffin at the time, but he's still a kid so he gets a pass for that.
just wondering why the Oregon player is considered a mature adult while other "kids" get a pass
Oh come ON utvolpj. HUGE difference between publicly cricizing your former coach and being a neanderthal and throwing a punch! The two are completely incomparable!
Alright, no one has truly ever made me angry on this forum until now Brewerw!!
No one "deserves" to get jaw-jacked for simply SAYING something. That is unacceptable and honestly, if you believe that then mentally you are still 15 years old Brewerw! That is not how a mature adult acts and I don't care if he or she plays sports or not! That doesn't justify it one iota! One of the absolute tell-tale signs of maturity is having control over your emotions and this guy does not! He does not deserve the privilege of playing college football and should be kicked off the team.
I went to sleep before this happened last night. I can't believe he jacked the guy up like that. I have seen much worse jawing between schools with no blow up.
I don't feel too sorry for the idiot who ran up and obviously said something stupid, if you run your mouth you gotta be prepared for what comes in return. You have to man up and take responsibility for your actions, you flap your jaw and it might get jacked up, which in this case it did.
On the other side of the coin Blount has to take responsibility for his actions, he was out of control and I tend to think from watching this blow up of his he has some rather serious anger management or self control issues. Not exactly what you look for in a representative or leader for your universities football team. His actions after the punch speak much more about him than the quick reaction to an insult, in the heat of the moment things like this can sometimes happen (though rarely). The fact that he continued his out of control behavior should send red flags to the university, especially since he has had other problems. It will be interesting to see what the NCAA and Oregon coaches do here.
I have no problem with the punch. I would also have no issue if the cops came and arrested him on assault charges (like any other citizen would be).
I understand that but I've always felt if you're man enough to talk trash to someone you don't know then expect to get called on it. Some people just react differently
that said, with all the claims from BSU about their winning streaks you would think they would have learned to do it with class
I thought Peterson's comments after the game were interesting - he didn't defend his player. I'm sure he doesn't agree his player deserved a punch but does think if you mess with the bull, you get the horns.
Peterson is smart enough to use this as a coaching moment.
The Oregon coach on the other hand has a major issue on his hands. This has great potential to divide the team.
