Blount's punch, while reprehensible, is understandable, but the stupidity thereafter should end his sports career, and likely will.

The fact that he continued his out of control behavior should send red flags to the university, especially since he has had other problems.
country boy got what he asked for. i enjoy watching it in slow motion where you see him smiling thinking hes the sh** then BOOM
he will probably get half the season suspended
Why because he went after some white trash loudmouths who think flashing their student activity card and coming to the game gives them the right to be abusive? The only tragedy was that Blount and a couple of his mates didn't get into the stands and do live speed reenactment of The Malice In The Palace on those fools.but the stupidity thereafter should end his sports career, and likely will.

I think its laughable that Oregon fans try defend this raging idiot by saying the BSU player was "talking crap". Blount's dumb ass talked crap to the ENTIRE BSU team leading up to to the game. Did any of them take cheap shots at him, twist his leg in a pile or try to blow out his knee? No. If the BSU player was talking trash, you walk away.....ESPECIALLY when your team just got embaressed and you were held to -5 freakin yards. Maybe Blount should ave used all that energy he displayed after the game DURING the game. His actions were that of a complete idiot who lost his mind. If the tables were turned, Oregon fans would be calling for the BSU players head and they know it.
That's what idiot fans do. That's why when forced to side with players or the retards in the stands in these situations, I'm always on the side of the athletes.
It wasn't that Hout talked crap. If you watch the video closely, you can see that he hasn't even finished his sentence before Blount's fist is on his face. He punched the guy because the dude ran up and smacked him on the shoulder. If Hout thought he could do that without experiencing retaliation, that was his error.
Yes. Ideally Blount would have walked away. And he should be punished for not doing so. But, suspending him for the year? That is an injustice and not consistent with the punishments players have gotten for various similar acts..... .
