Sadly CAVol that's just our Negavols...All Hail the Players, Coaches, or Recruits until *1* thing goes the opposite way the Negavols think, in their minds, it should go or should have gone...then with that *1* thing that went against the way the Negavol thought it should, they are calling for that player or coaches (recruits too, who knows?) head/job!!! As I have been saying & I'm very glad that you said it too, in a different way-*Give them time to develop!!!* I've been saying- do y'all HONESTLY wanna be stuck in the vicious vicious cycle that we have been stuck in since Fulmers head was called for & taken??? You have to give a Coach (& especially as good a Coach as Butch Jones is) time to do what needs to be done to ***Completely & Totally*** rebuild an entire program...people want it *NOW*, if they don't get the results they want *right now*, then it's over & they no longer back that Coach or Player!!! (Now Worley, he's a lil bit of a different story in my eyes cause his hasn't been just *1* mistake-his mistakes are CONSTANT & CONTINUAL, so IMO he's a different story) but you HAVE to have patience, if not then your in that vicious cycle I was talking bout-hire & fire every 3 years or so...& the Negavols will just continue to get more & more pissed off cause they wanted the Coach gone cause the job wasn't getting done the way the Negavol wanted- ***Be Patient & "Give Them Time to Develop"!!! Otherwise, if we can't get our program *Finally* rebuilt then we'll *NEVER EVER* get out of this cycle we've been stuck in for YEARS now!!! (Since the end to the Fulmer era...) Have a great day everybody, & GO BIG ORANGE!!! ***VFL***

Peterman looked better against Oregon than Worley did but he was not playing the big boys. A lot of Oregon players got in the game.

I look back at the Austin Peay game and Peterman was in the entire 2nd half without leading the team to a touchdown against a bad bad team. That is very telling to me. At this juncture it looks like Worely is by far our best option unless one of the freshmen comes alive. I sincerely think Peterman needs another year before he is ready to be thrown to the wolves in the SEC. Worley is not throwing well but he is not making stupid turnovers either.

I have just one message to Worley....If you are going to play scared...Don't waist our time and money!

*Facts are Facts....every photo from the WKU and the OU game he has played scared and threw with his eyes closed....Check out the photos that are out!

is worley just one of those players who practices well but, uh, tends to falter in real-time?

not IMO. he is just what he is.. average SEC QB.. but far less likely to turn over the ball than any of the others.

There's going to be a lot of people disappointed on here when Worley is named the starter this week. There is going to be an equal amount of people on here eating crow when he plays well this week. Just saying.

I came here to say this very thing, good post. He needs to do two things: 1) run the zone read properly and pick up yards when he can 2) work on his accuracy.

His mistakes are correctable and I'm encouraged by his ability to take care of the ball.

I personally believe that Worley was mentally/emotionally damaged by those decisions by CDD, to play him in hostile environments as a freshman, in a knee-jerk, desperation fashion. I personally believe we are seeing the after-effects of that and Worley is damaged goods now, having been stripped of natural progression as a college QB. In my mind, that's the only thing that can explain his total loss of efficiency and confidence from his HS career.

It's because of this that I am hesitant to see the trigger pulled on one of our freshmen-- especially in the swamp as a "coming out party".

However, if it's our only option, it's our only option, and I'll support the decision if this is the decision. Seeing the limited play book with Worley in, I have to wonder what would happen with a limited playbook (freshmen) from kids with different talents than Worley.

This.

I remember looking up at the tv in the fine establishment I was working at the night of the USCe game and seeing Worley on the sidelines. He was looking around almost dazed at what was going on around him. 100,000 people screaming at him after a bad series. I really felt sorry for him then, and I'm not sure that he's ever quite recovered from his frustrating experience under Dooley.

I'll agree Worley shows very good game management skills...but until he can throw the ball to the receiver and not 2 yards behind him, he doesn't do us much good. Also he's entering into a game with a less forgiving secondary most likely.....Nothing would make me happier then to see him finally shine this weekend. But if he can't pass then at least put someone in there capable of the option.

I have to believe Peterman of Fergurson have better wheels for the read option. In order for this scheme to work there has to be a threat of the QB running the ball.

Trying o run this read option crap is the problem. Our offensive line is built for lining up in the I and power running. This has already been stated in other threads. Our team is not built for the read option.

By the way the past 2 national champions don't run the read option.
