He's never made a Final Four and just one Elite Eight. No one who intends to be a national contender will take a chance on him with his baggage. He hasn't accomplished enough to warrant such a risk.

Only one coach in NCAA history got another D-1 head coaching job after a show-cause penalty. That was Todd Bozeman...and he's at Morgan State.

Even if Bruce didn't think his contact with the kid was enough to constitute a "bump" violation, he still should have reported his side of the events to UT. If he truly bumped into the kid and truly talked within the prescribed limits, he should have still reported it. Perhaps Bruce was not worried they would take him at his word and thus covered it up. I don't know.
