No.. just no. For the 5000th time UGA winning does more good for us than bad. It's good for the SEC. Right now we have a losing record in bowl games so far we need UGA LSU and MissState to win and keep bragging rights. I would be ok with OSU or Michigan beating them but TCU.. ick. The only thing worse than losing to a directional university is losing to a denominational one.I know… weird having some of our fans actually cheering alongside those mouth breathing hicks. Here’s hoping TCU can somehow beat them.
He$$ with UGA go TCU. Who gives a Damn what good it Does. I hope TCU hangs 60 on them! Yeah you definitely a Dawg fanNo.. just no. For the 5000th time UGA winning does more good for us than bad. How does it help exactly? I remember how much Alabamas 6 nattys helped us the last 15 years. Only thing it does is tell a recruit that is choosing between us and Georgia that Georgia is betterNo.. just no. For the 5000th time UGA winning does more good for us than bad. It's good for the SEC. We have one more hope...TCU. Maybe, by some miracle, they can spring the upset. Stranger things have happened. It would please me greatly if every other SEC team lost every game they played. Georgia winning another Natty does nothing positive for the Volunteers. This is not hard to understand.
The only positive outcome of the Peach Bowl would be for the field to open up and swallow both teams before the game ended. No such luck.
Preach!“Good for the SEC” is a load of crap. Other teams in the conference winning it all does NOTHING - zero, nada, zilch - for us.
Tennessee winning while our conference rivals fall is good for us. SEC solidarity is ridiculous. No one - and I mean no one - else in the conference rooted for us while we were down. And when we were at the top of the heap in the 1990s, everybody prayed for our demise.
Seriously, look around at these other fanbases in the SEC. You want them to win? It’s absolute insanity.
I may be the odd man out around here, but I'm pullinh for the Dawgs! I'm hoping UGA and UM meet in the championship game and Georgia wins a tight one. I like close, exciting games, especially between blue-blood programs. And I root for UT first, then the SEC East second, then the SEC third. I don't want anyone claiming that Tennessee is in a weak conference or that they play a soft schedule. I like it when Tennessee beats strong teams like Florida or LSU. It means nothing to me when UT beats Akron or Wyoming. It also looks good when teams we play win out. If Georgia loses to OSU (God forbid) or UM, then the logical claim will be that OSU or UM could beat Tennessee. Nope, sorry. If Tennessee is going to lose to UGA in the regular season and get knocked out of championship contention, then I want UGA to win it all so that our loss to them doesn't look as bad.
It makes no sense to me when people root against other SEC teams when they're playing non-conference foes, especially in bowl games. I understand the recruiting edge we get when we win and other SEC teams lose, but I don't think that rationale holds much water; there are plenty of great players to go around. I also understand rooting for higher-ranked teams to lose so that we might get a bump up in the standings. But that probably won't happen with any of the top-4 teams, and nobody remembers the rankings anyway. They only remember the bowl wins and championships.
So I'll be pulling for Georgia this weekend. Go SEC!
I'm surrounded by more b10 fans here in SWFLA than you can shake a stick at, because I-75 drains the Mid-West. I'm gonna enjoy their sullen silence for the next 8 months and pull for TCU.That game was like choosing between chlamydia and gonorrhea. Either way you need penicillin the next day. Having said that, an Ohio St. win would’ve been better for us, as much as I hate them.
It's helps the conference prestige. Kids want to play in the SEC. There is a reason we normally put 11-12 of our 14 teams in bowl games every year. Playing in the SEC means you're gonna be on national television more often than not. If all the teams in the SEC lost their games to out of conference foes every year we'd be the ACC.How does it help exactly? I remember how much Alabamas 6 nattys helped us the last 15 years. Only thing it does is tell a recruit that is choosing between us and Georgia that Georgia is better
“Gather round grandkid, let me tell you about the 2022 Vols season. We got hammered by UGA…but, are you ready for this? They were NATIONAL CHAMPIONS that year! So….. needless to say, a magical year”I don't understand why our "fans" make post rooting for our main rivals to win championships as if that helps the Vols. I doubt UGA or Bama fans were sitting around rooting for the Vols to win out of some SEC loyalty. That's like rooting for your wife to cheat with your brother because it's family.
They are the fricking worst. They think they are the greatest . Funny though because it took them 40 yrs to be relevant LOL besides their one shot in the dark in 1980.While I normally pull for the SEC in non-conference games during the season and bowl games in the post season, there is no way in hades I’m pulling for GA. I don’t care how they lose but they need to lose. Their fans are beyond repulsive enough but if they win another NC……..![]()
