Kentucky will be talented, for sure, and win a lot of games. However, I'm still not sold on Cal dominating the way Kentucky will expect him to dominate (Which, at this point, is basically anything under being undefeated. Not really, but it's close.).
Cal has been in two mid-major conferences and his MO has been to run through the leagues and get a high seed, guaranteeing some favorable matchups in the NCAAs. However, I have noticed that he struggled when the CUSA was in its heyday. I also noticed he had two SEC matchups the season they went to the Championship. They lost to UT and beat MSU by 2 in the tournament.
So, I think he won't run roughshod through the league and, at a school who once had some questioning Tubby when he was 23-2 (or something similar), the crazies will put his sanity to the test. Again, he'll still win a ton of games and, as the best salesman in the college game with the best bagman on top of that, get a bunch of players. But, I'm just not seeing a Pitino in the 90s type deal here. He won't have games against UTEP, Marshall, SMU, Rice, etc. for three months to guarantee a #1 practically every year and he has shown his weakness as an in-game tactition.
