nope....my displeasure is with the whole way this has gone down between the AD and the administration as a whole.........He seems to be a fine guy and a lot better than Dooley....but I can't blindly just give my money to a school that doesn't seem to understand basic public relations....

Neither Miles nor Saban had a record that broke .600 before dominating the SEC, by the way.

I am not saying that Butch will do great things, I am saying he has the potential and I will support him until he proves otherwise.

CBJ would have gone at worst 10-2 with the team last year.

Proof: 2 things
1. He would have never hired Sunsorry
2. He KNOWS how to be a head coach when the head coach is needed during the game. Other words, not Dooley

By the way, when did YOU graduate from UT?

I did in 2002. I got to see the goal posts come down in 1998 when we beat Florida. I never missed a game between 1997 and 2002 when I graduated. This is the first coach we have hired since Fulmer that comes with a winning record and an actual resume'.

It is a solid hire. You certainly are entitled to your opinion. Just try to have the data to form an opinion before it is created.

Neither did Charlie Strong 23-14.WHOOPTY DO.And so many wanted him and for the life of me don't know why.What makes Strong any better.Jones Has won 2of3 meetings head to head.Strong is a good coach.But Butch Jones is as good or better.GoVols.......

Your displeasure is created by internet rumors and radio personality innuendo. Did you expect Hart was supposed to call every Vol grad, fan and citizen of the state of TN and get their input before he actually did his job?

It says a lot about the players he recruits and the way they feel about him when they applaud him for taking a better job in a better conference and pursuing his dream. It has been said many times that his players love him and want to play for him. Something we have not had here for a few years. If he can take the talent we have and give them a reason to go out and "Give their all for Tennesee" he will do great!

Bottom line, Butch Jones was like the 20th person on our list after everybody turned us down just like last time!!!!!!!!! Nobody wants this job except mickey mouse coaches at piss poor schools that don't play anybody!!!

You can call it being a sheep or whatever you want, but the fact is this is our coach for at least the next three years. The options are to get on board or find another team. I for one will NOT find another team.

Well good, take your diploma, your donations, and all of your accomplishments to the AD and see if you can get them to change their mind about hiring Butch Jones or communicating with you better.
