Okay, so I used preemptive out of context. My fault.

But Papa, there was NO LINK between Sadaam Hussein and the 9/11 attacks. Iraq had NO play in them. YOu can think what you want..you can call me naive if you want, but the facts support my statement. You act as thought Iraq and Afghanistan are in proximity like North Carolina and Tennessee. Two distinctly different nations who were ruled by distinctly different rulers..albeit both were supporters of terrorism...but there is NO Truth to Iraq being involved in 9/11.
the bolded portion being the unmistakable linkage I'm talking about. I'm not even remotely implicating Iraq in 9/11. I'm saying they were a cog in the terrorism machine.

I never said that one could not make a case that Clinton could have done more to get Bin Laden.

But, post 9/11, the Republicans seemed hell bent on laying all of it at his feet and that was just flat out ridiculous. Had the Bush administration from the gitgo showed a willingness to shoulder its fair share of the blame, then we would not be having this discussion.

But, as always, when things went bad in a national security sense, their knee jerk reaction was thta it had to be the Dems' fault and, since it was a Republican in the White House, it had to all be the fault of the prior administration.

Had the Republicans just said, "Look, in substance we got the same intelligence reports Clinton did and, like him, we thought we were doing enough and it turns out none of us were, now let's go get him," then everyone could rally around that.

But no one is going to sit by and have this incompetent administration do a Sgt. Schultz (I" know nothing") when the truth is that they did but didn't do anything about it AND say it was all Clinton's fault.

You act like the media was giving Bush a fair shot. they weren't. EVERYTHING was being blamed on Bush, and your earlier post was a perfect example of that.
