In state prospects

Sometimes you're a pretty cool guy, but other times it seems you just want to poke for no good reason. Did you read the other post I had about the similar subject on other threads...or just this one? I stick by what I said about the 90%. You and everyone else knows it's true as well. Nobody will admit it. I never said hypocrites. Liar might be a better word.

"We never wanted them" when they don't commit to UT.
"We love them" if they did commit.

And, I'm only talking about the top 10 from TN in the '19 class.

And FSU fans are “liars” UGA fans are “liars” go down the effin list! Move on and prove that water is wet, you pompous windbag! How’d we get so lucky?

you pompous windbag!

Glad you said this.

Definite pattern towards anyone that sees things differently

"Everyone knows I'm right"
"Liars"
"Can't comprehend"

I was going to go with narcissistic, but pompous windbag has a nice ring to it.

Did the one we got yesterday make everyone feel better? Technically he was an instate guy.

Ahhhh OP... Coach Pruitt does his own evaluations and does not give a rats rear end about how many stars some internet sensation puts besides a kids name. Bottom line Coach Pruitt and staff simply don't believe very many of the 2019 in state kids are that good . They are good enough to get you to 6 and 6 ... not good enough to win many more games than that and will get a coach fired if he recruits too many of them...

You dolts that live and die by stars are hysterical

Pruitt said early on that on 4-6 in-state players each season would sign with the Vols. Based on this comment, it looks like he's certainly on track for 2019.

You can never make some people happy. They will dig into the bottom of the junk drawer and find the nit comb that their momma used on them when they had lice a few years back in order to find something to complain about.

That being said, I am excited about the pickup yesterday. The few videos I have seen have shown that for someone so new to football, he has some really good skills and should be a great asset for the coaches to mold and shape into a beast OG! :clapping:

When Pruitt didn't close stong with the 2018 class, people said not to worry because 2019 was going to be chock full with instate talent and now that those kids are cold on the Vols the same "experts" are saying that all the top prospectsin TN are overrated. I'm going to laugh through the tears when Muschamp kicks our azzes with overrated TN kids.

It's been reported for a while that Pruitt wasn't as high on the '19 class as he is the '20 class. I can promise you Muschamp isn't gonna beat anyone's a$$ with overrated TN kids. I would take a "4 or *5 kid from Ga and Fla over a *4 or *5 from TN 99% of the time. I also wouldn't call going from #40+ to #19 as not finishing strong. 8 of our 13 commits are *4 or *5 on atleast one of the 3 services and 2 others as close as you can be without being one. Plus the numerous others we lead for. Not bad for a 1st time HC, who hasn't coached a game yet and following a 4-8 0-8 season. I couldn't give 1 Flying F- what states we signed a top 10 class with.

I agree with you Jason....

And

I just don't understand how guys keep saying Pruitt didn't close strong.... He had what 2 months to turn the Tennessee 2018 class from being 50+ in recruiting ranking in the nation to finishing at 19 in the nation.... Seems like a pretty darn good closing to me in 2 months....

Especially after last seasons record and debacle.

He uses is arms well and keeps leverage without letting the defender inside. Needs some help with the footwork but with a guy so new to the sport he is obviously working hard and listening to his coaches. I'm excited to see what this kids ceiling will be.
