Correct. And yet, they beat the brakes off of team 120. What an embarrassment. I'm still in virtual shock of the general break/pass that virtually everyone is giving Bob Shoop. He's been essentially Sal Sunseri only with much more talent.

I agree with a lot that you say KB, but I'm willing to give Shoop a pass this year. An historic amount of injuries and only 1 healthy DT does not equate to good defense, just too much to overcome IMO

If our defense had been just average due to the injuries and you could see the fundamentals of a sounds defense I could agree. But we were so awful in every phase I just can't give the guy a pass. We had 8 of our 11 initial starters against this trash Vandy team and gave up 45 points and 600+ yards because we couldn't tackle, fit run gaps, set the edge, cover anybody in the secondary, etc, etc. I'm 100% out on Shoop until he can do a complete 180 and show any semblance of being a competent DC.

Anywho, right now I just want NCState to beat those arses from Vandy like a rented mule.

NC state missed a potential game winning FG vs Clemson and lost in OT and then lost to FSU by 4. Much better than their 6-6 record.

But yes, Vandy sucks and the fact they scored 45 against us shows how bad our defense is. But even KY and Mizzou put up points against us.

It'll be interesting to see how we respond with over a month off.

We know how we responded with a week off and the entire season's goal on the line....it was no bueno.

I'm just looking forward to seeing the boys again. I have no misconception that we'll play good defense, at all. Just wanna see Dobbs, Kamara, Sutton and Barnett go out with a win, even if we give up 40 points, which we're very likely to do. Just win.

Congrats to NC State for solving the enigma that is the Vandy offense. Held Shurmur to 144 yards and 40% completion with two picks. Their DC must be a warlock.

Make that 3 picks. Haha. Maybe Butch can return the favor and call one of NC State's coaches and ask how they held the great, future HOFer Kyle Shurmur under 400 yards passing.

Yeah I think we will definitely lose the stats battle to Nebraska. As long as we win, thats all that counts at this point.
