Inflation Reduction Act

You would have be a fool to believe that old rich politicians would pass a bill that would target the “rich”.

You would also have to be a damn fool to believe that old rich politicians would pass a bill that would require them to “pay their fair share”.

Here’s a novel idea just maybe the irs could investigate how politicians become so rich while “serving” in Washington.

that they are raising the prices or that the price increase matches, in an incredible coincidence, the exact amounts of the tax credits?

During the muslim's regime, Ford and Chevy produced a certain hybrid car. When the muslim's tax break ended, they quit producing those cars as soon the breaks ended

Americans in the 1770s went into open revolt over marginal taxes and in the 2020s we're on the verge of raising a literal army of revenue collectors. If that doesn't illustrate the ass backwards nature of this country then I don't know what does.
They are hiring the equivalent of five to seven army divisions of tax agents.

It’s not about “reducing inflation” it’s about grabbing more power. A new army of irs agents to use as weapons against American citizens.

You all know this goes both ways. Trump used the IRS to go after EITC claims and "woke companies" and DeSantis is currently weaponizing the FL Dept of Revenue.....

I heard the other day that the US federal government employs more people than the populations of over 100 countries on earth.

And just think, that is 87,000 more lifetime pensions/health care that will be funded by you... Those are always funded, and will never be taken away.

Most of this bill is to distribute to their lobbyist buddies to get rich, then turn around and donate to the democrat party campaigns. These cheats are a runny deuce.

Did you have the same opinion in 2020 when GOP super donor Sheldon Adelson and his interests wrote most of those COVID relief bills?

I briefly looked back and didn't see any objections...

Our electricity went down, our taxes went down. Plus our work bonuses went up.
Funny that I just saw this, but I got my mail today, yes the USPS delivered mail on a Sunday and not Saturday, and my half July/half August bill came. I used less electricity this billing cycle than the previous month and was charged way more. Thanks Joebama!

You “briefly looked back” at an 8 year span of posts from 10 years ago?

I briefly looked back to 2020 for the bills I referenced...

When the other tribe does it, it's bad. When your own tribe does it, silence..
I always laugh when I see those. You aren’t the only one… very common from both sides.

I paid less under Trump on more income.

ymmv.

TCJA barely moved the needle on rates if you were a poor or middle class wage earner. Let's not kid what it was: it was a Corporate and upper income tax cut with a marginal rate decrease for red state middle class taxpayers to get it through reconciliation. I'm not saying it was bad because if you were invested in the stock market, you did very well....
