Anyone else looking forward to this movie?

In his recent interview with GQ Tarantino alludes to the fact that this movie is the reason he started making movies. He wants this to be his masterpiece, however it is getting some mixed reviews.

Brad Pitt's character Aldo Raine is from east Tennessee as well, so it has that attraction.

Anyway, I'm there.

Actually, since Star Trek came and went (liked it, didn't love it), this movie's release has been looked upon as the defining moment of my life.

Each of the American characters owes me wun, hundred, natzi scalps

And I WANT my scalps.

Must be the reason for the exaggerated accent. Tarantino seems to put a reference to East TN in every one of his movies.

But yea, this is going to be an awesome movie.

I thought Pitt has a pretty good east Tennessee accent. Not Knoxville, but east TN.

I don't know. It's just that I've never heard it so exaggerated before, and I've been into some pretty redneck ass places.

But anyways, I'm going to be more worried about how they get them natzi scalps.

Read an early review in a London paper last week. Wasn't exactly a glowing review.

I'll still be there to see it opening week. Looks interesting and I like most of his other films.

I was in Germany this week and it was in the news. They weren't exactly in love with the movie as one might guess.

I also read that he got the longest standing ovation at the Canne's Film Festival. Of course, the Germans and French don't exactly see eye to eye so this isn't surprising either.

This movie was pretty awesome. Not what I expected but very good. I kind of expected a Kill Bill in WWII type movie but there was very little action and it was more of a spy movie but it was very well done and very good nevertheless.

this movie has an abundance of one-liners. I thought the movie was great, even though it got a little boring and bogged down in the middle. but it picked back up and brought it home. I believe QT hit it out of the park just like donnie did to that NAZI!!

Id say its one of the better movies to come out this summer. Brad Pitt was fantastic and the German Colonel (i forget his name but it might be the Jewhunter) should win an award for his performance

Been reading about it after I saw it today, and did y'all know Tarantino originally conceived the role of Donny for Adam Sandler? Hard for me to picture Billy Madison as the Bear Jew.
