Injury Report with Updates

It's always bad to have injured players, but I think the fact that most of the guys are d lineman is sort of a silver lining. These guys are in the trenches every single play. I do realize there are a ton a of intricacies playing that position that I will never understand, but I feel like a skill position player missing valuable practice and weak ooc game time is much worse than having a defensive lineman sitting Out. Their jobs don't change as much game by game, and they don't forget how to be big and plug holes if they have to sit out a the first two games.

Looks good for Wiesman and Lane

Wiesman worked on the side with a sleeve and brace on his left knee, so I would assume it's not the worst news possible.

Butch on Marlin Lane: "He's good, just precautionary." Said still waiting on a Dylan Wiesman evaluation.

Sounds like normal injuries that happen with every team. The couple of months on Riyahd Jones worries me a little but the others are as expected.

Yeah these injuries will always happen. You just hope to avoid the season ending ones!

For the most current info on the projected availability of Jacques Smith, Curt Maggitt and Corey Vereen, fast-forward to roughly the 22:30 mark of today's press conference: Jones' Week 3 Press Conference - UTSPORTS.COM - University of Tennessee Athletics. The bottom line is that Butch fully expects Jacques to be back in the lineup this week; Maggitt and Vereen remain in more of the "observe and evaluate" mode prior to determining their availability for Oregon.
