"Pearl pointed out this morning--in highlighting where things are with the Vols' program--that he was looking at this week's top-ten and it happened to occur to him that not only has Tennessee played half the members of the current group since the Kansas game last January, but the Vols are 5-0 against them, Kansas, Pitt, Villanova, Ohio State and San Diego State."

But we need to fire Bruce...

ERRONEOUS...ERRONEUS ON ALL ACCOUNTS! LOL:nono:

Just my opinion, and I know what Bruce did was wrong...however, Sticking with Bruce through whatever the NCAA dishes out is still our BEST option. And yes, I do realize your post was filled with sarcasim:thumbsup:

When we get hit with Pearl having a one season suspension, no other team will want him. When we lose a scholarship for 2012 & one scholarship for 2013, no other good coach will want to come to U.T. When we lose post-season play for 2012 & 2013, no
other good coach will want to come to U.T.
Who would be best to get us through these issues? Pearl, of course!! Why should we start over, when we can get Jones to coach during the 2012 season, while Pearl is suspended. If Jones does well, then maybe he will get head coaching offers and be gone when Pearl returns.
U.T. wins with less disruptions in the program by not losing coaching philosophy for a year. Pearl has a job, so he wins! Jones gets a chance to show what he can or can not do, so Jones wins.

Typical Pearl half-truth. Doesn't bother to point out that his Vols are WINLESS against the other 5 teams in the top 10!

I want Jon Gruden to leave Tampa Bay and Coach the B-Ball Team. We would be unstoppable. He has connections here, you know.

Actually, he should have pointed out the "rankings" of those teams we have lost to. Our BB team has a serious dissociative identity disorder .

I highly doubt we'll get all of the penalties you described.

I understand what he's saying but don't get how their current rank is relevant to beating them last year

Because a lot of ut fans can't think critically and this will cause them to think about how he's the greatest coach ever?

There is nothing to get. I think he is saying how impressive that is. Who else can say their team has done that?

but what's the point? This current team didn't beat all those guys. We've had some pretty bad losses as well

I don't get into the coaching debate much but he has led us to some good wins. I'm just not sure this makes sense.

In football if UK is in the top-10 for 2011 does Dooley point out that we beat them in 2010?
