Interesting tweet from Greg Sankey

The committee might be the headline media group but Sankey is still the most powerful college football guy in the country. He has the best conference, biggest group of fans, and best tv rated teams. If he doesn’t get close to what he wants, he will take his ”league and ball” to greener pastures after this 2 year contract is up.
He won’t do ****

the ranking are being manipulated. We beat MS state and stayed at 7 and got leap frogged by 2 teams that didn't deserve to move up past us.with 2 teams above us losing we should have moved up to 5 and no worse than 9 after the Georgia loss. Instead we went from 7 to 11 and the first team out.

Yep, once again, they put together a committee that works with heartstrings versus actual facts, including strength of schedule. I am a pretty smart guy, but for the life of me, I have no idea how we can fix this problem. College football is too important to the nation, literally, to accept this level of incompetency.
Here in lie's your answer. The committee will be sure there are teams from all parts of the country in the playoffs for TV ratings to stay up thereby keeping the revenue from TV up. As for the big 10 (or whatever they call themselves now days) well, it has always overshadowed the south (not just the SEC) and as my slanted view sees it they still are in this case.

The good news is that expanding the playoff to 12 teams from 4 will stop all of the outrage of those left out.

Edit: horrific grammar

The beat writer for Georgia was on Finebaum today and unleashed a 15-minute diatribe on Warde Manual and the committee not making any sense with what they’re doing.
Heather Dinnich a B1G supporter and Indiana University graduate. Finebaum having her on his show pre season and gushing over her, a DEI hire. Now he is talking out the other side of his mouth at least he's consistent. He saw Cowherd do this early in his career and it worked on a national level, ppl are so busy they buy what you are saying at the time, as you go with what's 'trending. It is what it is.

You do realize that AI models can be trained with bias….IE see the mess out of Google/Facebook/Microsoft. If you want something non Bias you better find someone non bias to train the AI model….
Of course. That’s why “OpenAI” was created with open source software. No secret agenda. Let people see how it was trained.

Then the liberals got it and started being shady.

The food news is that expanding the playoff to 12 teams from 4 will stop all of the outdated of those left out.
I wanted Alabama to beat Georgia for one reason yesterday. I wanted this whole discussion to blow up this year about is it the best or most resume deserving.

Last year they put TCU in which clearly was not one of the best 4 and the game was terrible.

The reason I wanted the discussion is because next year it will be even more important to get the best 12. Think about it. If next year you pick the 12 with the best resume, then the SEC will probably never get more than 3. Why, because 4-6 teams will all have at least 2 loses even though they will probably be better than then teams who have better resumes. If Oklahoma and Texas were part of the SEC this year as of the last rankings 6 of the 12 teams would be from SEC. No one is going to stand for that.

So I want to see people come out and say moving forward we are looking at best 12 teams and your SOR is part of it but having 0 or 1 loses does not make you part of best 12. Otherwise, Tulane, Liberty and JMU would knock 3 SEC teams out.

Sankey needs to come out and say if we are no longer going by best teams, than the SEC will stay with 8 conference game schedule and we will play no hard out of conference games and we will play as many cupcakes as Michigan and Ohio State play every year to pad our resume.

This debate is even more important to Tennessee fans come next year then it is this year. It is going to become almost impossible to have 0 and probably even 1 loss in the SEC schedule moving forward especially in a 9-conference game schedule.

It must be best 12 teams moving forward or the SEC just screwed themselves with expansion.

My Prophetic post last year…..

We can’t have Texas winning this conference their first year here.
I would rather Texas win it instead of AL winning ANOTHER!!! Anyone wining the SEC Championship besides UA, UF, UG, UM, and the WRONG UT is great to me!!!

Can't believe Mizz made it to the SEC Championship game the first two years in the league. Even though they lost. That was very impressive by Gary Pinkel!

All we had to do was beat Arkansas. We didn’t. Move on.

I have started to move on to Basketball a little. Tennessee looks to have another good team this year.

One positive about Basketball is that the games are half the length of football which is nice.

If we make playoffs, we make it. If not, we got Basketball to look forward to. (Our Women's team is unbeaten as well but they haven't played anyone and I think it might be a difficult year 1. Recruiting is going well though).

I have faith that we get in above Ole Miss.

I think they will have to win their remaining games
by 20+ and UT will have to beat Vandy for this to happen but I have confidence.

Wtf are you talking about? OpenAI isn’t open source. It just has the word “open” in the name for branding. Not sure what you meant by the last part either. By “liberals” do you mean Microsoft Inc?

It’s not any more but when it was created it was open source. Feel free to google it’s history

Napier has been coaching better as well, after our game was played. His coaching staff has been calling better as well. If Ole Miss thinks that they are just going to walk into the swamp, and watch Florida lay over and play dead, they’ve got another thing coming. It could be that Ole Miss may be to high over their heads, after beating Georgia.
I want to see Billy beat Laney just to witness the narrative flip over who could get who fired.

Huh. You’re right, but it looks like they got away from that model when they moved from RL to LLMs and really made it big. None of the GPT stuff has been open (in contrast to the llama models and others). Looks like that probably coincided with when they transitioned from being a nonprofit 🤔
