Oh, look at the Pearlite worms squirm as they try to defend their media cheerleader. Harris had said UCONN was one of his leaders. Didn't keep buffoons like you from bashing Adam when he cut the Huskies.

Media cheerleader? I consider him and Brent Hubbs to be solid sources of info on UT sports, in particular recruiting. The reason I feel that way is that they're both frequently quoted by posters on this board. I've never quoted either one. I just give VN credibility; not every single post, just the board in general; otherwise, there'd be no reason to be here.

Pearlite? I saw the same issues with our team last year as you did. I support our coach and what he has done for our program. If he strikes out this season and has a bad recruiting class, I'll be questioning him a whole lot more too. Well, we have McRae and Golden and won by 75 last night. It's early, but so far, so good.

And, I don't know when Harris said UConn was the leader, but yeah, I did take quite a bit of humor when they reported that the day before UConn was eliminated. Today, yeah, it's not so funny.

As for how I view you: When we're winning and things are going well, you explode with the Vols. When we're losing, and things are not going well, you explode on the passions of other fans. It's either, "Go Big Orange," or, "See, I told you so."

See board rules regarding name calling.

I do not have a man crush or Lewis or Hubbs. It's just that they are quoted A LOT on here by A LOT of posters. In other words, VN has given them credibility.

Let's see, a respected journalist and author who has guys like Bob Hurley and Bob Huggins who vouch for him versus a guy who works for a hick niche website whose goal is to see how many trailer dwellers they can beat out of a piece of their SSI check every month. Yeah, can't imagine why I hold one in higher regard than the other.

If I started a thread about how a certain player was signing with UT, and then bashed another poster and another website... and it all turned out to blow up in my face....

I would not pick more fights. I would either say I was wrong and call myself an idiot, or just lay low until Christmas is over.

What do you mean? The expertise he gained driving next to ambulances in an attempt to throw a card in the window for the firm that has him doing research in their basement was invaluable during the Negedu situation. It provided comic relief to a sad situation. That's invaluable.

Hat, other boards are saying that this just means we are a lock for Harris. I don't see why he would be afraid of playing with Tobias, but do you see this as being true.

Why else would he change his opinion over night?

I said yesterday that the two recruitments were mutually exclusive and I've seen no reason to believe otherwise. Further, the only thing I see evidence he changed his mind about was signing early.

I haven't heard. I just assumed that they flew down to GT to catch that game, and rented a car and drove up to K-ville for our game. I figured that they would be flying out of Knoxville today, but I have heard no definitive information on that.

The Bluegrass State blog said he was still in Knoxville late last night. Take that for what its worth. Could be waiting till morning flight or could be resting up before driving home.

My guess is they flew. Knoxville to New York is a lot of work just to stop off at Maryland. They live in New York so they go to Syracuse when they get back if thats their plan. VERY NERVOUS!

Total BS. This is just another of hat's agendas, for whatever reason, that has spun into some old crazy guy yelling on the street. Lewis has been two steps ahead of zagsblog in regards to Pinkston and Harris this whole time. I have found Hubbs and Lewis far more professional AND accurate than other noted "experts" as well as reliable, so they have gotten my $10 a month.

If they start becoming a "hack" site with no news to offer, they won't get my money. However, the above characterization just reeks of the usual hat pettiness over.........something. Hell, I'm not even sure I know what motivates these tantrums anymore.

"Being in the hunt" means being a finalist in a guys recruitment, which we were in both of those cases.
