Some South Korean newspaper is reporting Apple sent off production notice to their suppliers to build 4.6in iPhone. IMO that's way too big of a phone. I'm fine with 4.3in but I was hoping for just a 4in screen. Could just be some ridiculous claim but interesting none the less.

That's the problem. Will probably be getting a phone before then which is unfortunate, because I would like to compare the Androids vs. the next iPhone. Just can't wait that long, my phone's on it's last legs

4.6 screen, that sounds gimmicky to me. No, wait.. This is the iPhone we're talking about... So that means it'll be ground breaking and innovative.

And the iphone has a 3.5 screen fyi.

The phone is 4.5" already. The screen is 3.5" diagonal. Apple may go bigger but it won't be gimmicky. If its too big to fit in my pocket comfortably I'll stick with what I got. Lol. Trying to knock a phone that isn't even here yet. Lol. Oh yea he said 4.6" phone not screen. Wow a whole tenth of an inch.

I'm not knocking anything, I'm just predicting how you are going to change your tune if the new iphone is larger than 4".

Suddenly a phone that big will cease to be gimmicky if it has an Apple logo on it huh?

The S2 is right at the cusp of how big a phone screen can be before becoming problematic in terms of portability. It fits comfortably in all my pant pockets and has never once felt 'too big.' It's also significantly lighter than any iphone. Having played around with family and friends' iphone 4s I still prefer the S2, but that has more to do with preferring Android. I think the debate is more about if you like the Android or iOS experience. Knocking the S2's baller screen is barking up the wrong tree.

Thats been your whole argument, that android was just using a bigger screen as some kinda gimmick to trump the iphone, but if iphone increases the size of its screen, its no longer a gimmick but instead Apple being a driving force in the industry right?

Apple is the driving force & screen size is what android manufacturers use to somehow try to gain customers. I would like a screen around 4" but I want the best phone too. If a screen is pushing 5" how can it not be a gimmick. You're trying to make a point on a rumor.

Did I say anything about the Note? Im talking about my phone, didnt say a word about the Note. See your problem is that you want to put all phones that use the Droid OS into a single category and take the negatives of some and apply them to all. Not one negative that you keep harping on applies to the SGII or the Nexus.
