Did they say what was wrong with it?
The warranty does not restart, in my experience. They didn't know. Said everything was just locked up and they couldn't get it to do anything. Everything is on the cloud so I won't lose any photos or anything, but damn.. I might go buy an iPad Pro with keyboard and sell this thing when I get it back. If it's a lemon, I'll go ahead and sell it while it's a fresh lemon lol. If they replace a logic board or something, does the warranty restart?
What do you mean? I don't think anyone restarts a warranty after a repair, do they?
It makes complete sense. I just don't know of any warranties that work that way. Maybe I just haven't run across one.Normally if you have a part repaired, that part is under warranty. So like if my logic board crapped out on month 9 and they replace it, it's odd that the new logic board doesn't come with a warranty. Because if they happen to use a faulty part and then my computer stops working again, them I'm SOL. Does that make sense? I don't expect the entire product to be under warranty, just the new part.
MacBook Pro update:
I got the computer back today (in what has to be record time), and they replaced the top case (strange), and the battery. I might actually sell it to CityMac for $900 and buy a new iPad Pro 128gb for $950. They're going to email me the exact amount they'll give for my MBP, so that's what I'm waiting on. Very pleased with the service.
