Iran nuclear program. It is a lie

Education huh? Agreed... you need it. Here ya go:

Radioactive materials ain't like a crate of apples. Even when you remove them, they are detectable post-fact. Do you really think this 24-day deadline wasn't thoroughly thought out? (Hint: It was under the Obama administration when smart people were in charge).

Don't take my word for it...

"...So far, the inspections controversy has focused on whether the international inspectors will have timely access to suspect sites in Iran. Touring the Sunday morning talk shows, Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz argued that the 24-day delay the deal provides is immaterial.

“We are very confident in our ability to detect the vestiges of any nuclear work beyond 24 days,” he said, and later explained, "When environmental samples are taken and nuclear activity has taken place, it is virtually impossible to clean up that place. You can paint the floors. You can do what you want. We feel very confident that we would find evidence of nuclear activity.”

NowThis and Obama Energy Secretary Ernest Moniz go all 'fake news' on the Iran deal

NowThis veiled its formative untruths under Moniz's comforting voice and a sea of snazzy images. Whether out of ignorance or malice, the publication is steering its users away from the truth, not toward it.

does the IAEA walk around with a constantly running Geiger-counter? Its one thing to expect them to investigate an empty lot/storage area. but with if they fill that space and its starts looking pretty inconspicuous.

and you are arguing that it could be any amount of time. why do investigations at all, we can just come in later and see what they are doing.

the point isn't what they can do in 24 days, or the ability to detect it. but how can we (the world) respond if we are most of a month behind as it is?

The funny thing is, if a Democrat was the one to void the deal, libs would have zero problem with it. It's not voiding the deal they have a problem with, it's who voided it. It was a bad deal. Iran got way too much and gave up way too little. Anyone being honest would look at the deal and see just how weak it was. It should have never been made, and the fact that it was actually lends to an argument that Obama was more about fluff than actually substance. Sometimes, a deal, any deal, is not better than no deal. I mean, damn, put aside politics for one moment and actually look at the deal. It was a ****ty deal. So ****ty Obama wouldn't even put it before Congress. That alone should tell you something.

I don't lose a wink of sleep over Iran, or anything Iran does.

Because if they ever become a serious, legitimate threat, Israel will deal with them. Quickly, effectively, and decisively.

Fact. Now, next crisis?

I am not gonna quote my own post about Israel, but they will leave a smoking hole where Iran used to be. As they should if such need arises.

Just making stuff up as you go along huh?

"...The IAEA’s main focus in Iran is monitoring uranium enrichment. This process can produce fuel to run nuclear reactors or make a nuclear weapon.

Under the Iran nuclear deal, Iran has promised not to enrich uranium above 3.67 percent. Nuclear weapons are typically made of uranium enriched at 90 percent or more.

The IAEA has not wavered from its conclusion that Iran is compliant. “Iran has not enriched uranium above 3.67%,” the agency said in one of its assessments in 2017.

The IAEA continually measures Iran’s stockpiles of enriched uranium and counts the number of centrifuges.

“Inspectors can also use images, including from satellites, to verify activities and investigate concerns about undeclared activities or sites,” Davenport said.

In 2017, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley expressed concerns that Iran hasn’t declared all of its nuclear activities to the IAEA.

But suspicions aren’t enough to trigger an inspection. “If the IAEA has concerns that Iran is conducting illicit nuclear activities at sites outside of the declared facilities, inspectors must first present Iran with their concerns and ask for clarifications,” Davenport said.

“If Tehran is unable to provide explanations that address the IAEA’s concerns, inspectors can request access to any location, including military sites. Within a 24-day period, Iran must provide the necessary access.”

Never been in the military have you? You'd be amazed how excess inventory can be buried in that length of time - some literally. Another favorite for announced inspections was to load up parts over what was allowed and duds (the people kind) in a problematic truck - possibly pulling a troublesome radar and send them someplace out of the way when the inspection rolled around.

Now when a group of unannounced inspectors walk into the room with classified manuals in the middle of the night, you better hope you and everybody else dotted i's and crossed t's. They know how the games are played and aren't having any of it - that's when the day to day activity better be according to Hoyle, and that's when somebody actually finds out.

"I think there's a certain naivete to think, oh, the Iranians are going to be excited about a new deal when we ripped up the old one,' Paul said. 'No, I think it's going to be a great deal of struggle, and I foresee years and years of trying to figure out how to get better relations with Iran again. I think we've taken a big step backwards." - Rand Paul

Well, if Rand Paul doesn't like it, then it must be a bad move...

It looks like Kim Jong-un might be backing out of the June summit. Maybe he has already gotten what he wanted? To be treated like an elder statesman and have his butt kissed by the American President. "Do I still get the Nobel Peace Prize?" - Trump was overheard saying, per another leak. :birgits_giggle:

Not sure how this is funny. Everyone knows L'il Kim is an odd duck so, well, let me not speak for everyone, I am not surprised he continues to play games. Odd though that you find humor in the possibility of this falling through. You don't want peace on the Korean peninsula? Or your own hubris would rather see the POTUS fail? Sad when politics play this much a part of your life.

I'm sure your counter argument will have something to do with Trump tearing up Obama's deal with Iran. I have no problem with a deal with Iran, as long as it makes sense. That wasn't the deal Obama brokered. Nothing to do with politics. If a Republican brokered the exact same deal, I'd still call it weak and say we're better off without it. I want peace. Apparently you just want a Democrat in the Oval Office.

Pretty telling that your excited about rumors he might back out. Good thing there aren't millions of starving people there that would benefit from this going through...

I hear you and maybe I was out of line but I do think it was a mistake for Trump to thank Kim Jong-un for releasing the 3 prisoners (which had been taken without justification). It's exactly the sort of thing that Trump used to be critical of Obama for. Showing deference to our enemies. How do you suppose that Otto Warmbier's parents feel about seeing Trump's expression of gratitude to Kim?

Being of big ego himself, I assume Trump understands the importance of stroking big egos. You catch more flies with honey.

The Associated Press is reporting tonight that a North Korean official says they have no interest in the U.S. summit if it's based on a demand to give up their nukes. What a surprise.

Probably means N Korea has a new toy supplier and is back in business.

EU President comments follow. He's 100% right. And to those who say 'So what?', come talk to me when Trump needs THEIR support.

Trumps walls are built of his own personal fear, ignorance and greed. Hopefully, our next President will - as our past ones - recognize isolationism is impossible in our shrinking world.

Looking at latest decisions of @realDonaldTrump someone could even think: with friends like that who needs enemies. But frankly, EU should be grateful. Thanks to him we got rid of all illusions. We realise that if you need a helping hand, you will find one at the end of your arm.

Let me guess..."Sources say..."

Are you still using the source that said Cohen had discovered all of Hillary's emails? bigoldpolitics.com or some sht like that?

Yeah, you forfeited your right to complain about sources with that little gem.

Iran is not in violation of the JCPOA, a fact confirmed by not only IAEA inspectors but also by President Trump’s own Secretary of Defense. Even the Israeli intelligence that Trump cited shows nothing more than the fact that Iran had a nuclear program prior to 2003.

Trump’s decision on the nuclear deal is the latest example of his tendency to manufacture foreign policy crises where none exist.
