I’ve been expecting this type of escalation for awhile now.
It was inevitable with the Israeli response to Hamas.
I believe The leaders in Israel are too willing to go all in.
It’s a balanced approach that should rule the day. But unfortunately both sides think this is to the death. That being the case all but guarantees a result we’re seeing today.
I believe this is what the current Israeli leadership wants as they left Iran no choice but to attack or look weak

Nuclear sites? That sounds...well, disastrous.

This is the counterattack. Hopefully it is defended and both move on. If they do get hit, hopefully they eat it. The neverending retaliatory cycle is both disingenuous and awful for both.
