Why are there American bases in Eastern Syria?

Why are there American bases in Eastern Syria?

because local freedom fighters who were oppressed in language, beliefs, and had historical ties outside of the country invited us.

Yeah apparently all those who witnessed the 6 day war have passed away or been put out to pasture by now....Israel gonna have to remind all her neighbors like Hezbollah, Iran, Hamas etc who the toughest kid is on the playground that is the M.E.

It is sad for the civilians in Iran, Israel, etc....because the vast majority of them appear to want no part of war. They just want to live in peace. Especially the oppressed folks in Iran, many of which hate their tyrranical ruling party and want to be a modern democracy (again, like 1970s Tehran) There will be serious hardships if Israel strikes all their nuclear facilities/power plants. It remains to be seen what methods Isreal will have to use in order to destroy the illicit underground enrichment sites and reactors. Guess we will see soon.

This is a real question that needs to be asked. Who is making decisions in the situation room? I have a hard time believing that POTUS is making tough decisions given his issues. That should not be viewed as a partisan question either.

According to Western Intelligence Officials, Two Iranian Ships currently docked in the Chinese Port of Taicang, the M/V Golbon and the M/V Jairan, will soon depart from China to deliver over 1,000 Tons of Sodium Perchlorate, one of the Main Ingredients in the production of Solid-Fuel for Ballistic Missiles, to Iran. The Iranians, who lost most of their Solid-Fuel Production as a result of Israeli Strikes in 2024, are expected to be able to produce at least 260 Medium/Intermediate-Range Ballistic Missiles using the Sodium Perchlorate on the Two Vessels. Both Ships already under U.S. Sanctions, though this Sale could cause the U.S. Treasure Department to also target the Chinese Companies involved in providing Iran with the Chemicals.
