US and UK pilots are competent enough to probably just line up and take turns doing gun runs on them. They aren’t maneuvering. This is going to be the air power version of grabbing a roll of quarters and setting up shop on a video game in the arcade. Not sustainable. How long do you think you can scramble jets and fire off expensive missiles vs swarms of cheap/low tech drones?
Or go back about 4000 years.
They are fellow human beings ruled by an elite few. Not evil nations. Evil leaders.
Iran is actually very modern, cosmpolitan, and young. But the old religious leaders rule over the country with an iron fist. Read about them. Individually, they are quite Western and similar to ourselves even. It is the older non-secular portion that ruins it all for a huge, beautiful country.
The North Koreans have been brainwashed over decades by their leaders. Look at South Korea, their own people, but under free leadership...a fine and peaceful people and country.
These are not bad nations of people at all. They just need new leadership, but they're currently under the thumb of rulers that are very hard to circumvent.
I remember talking to a fighter pilot right after it came out the US was putting Stingers on MQ-1s to defend against fighters doing gun runs on them. He says if he got shot down by a UAV he might just not pull the handle and just ride it in he’d be too embarrassed to show his face in the O club. Those things are sitting ducks no defenses.100%
I wish I could post the video of the Jordanian pilot who was sad when he ran out of drones to shoot down.US and UK pilots are competent enough to probably just line up and take turns doing gun runs on them. “We didn’t necessarily expect this level of threat. There was an uninhibited violence that was quite surprising and very significant. [The Yemenis] do not hesitate to use drones that fly at water level, to explode them on commercial ships, and to fire ballistic missiles,” Henry told French news outlet Le Figaro in an exclusive interview published on 11 April.
You're going to have to give me specifics on that one. Iran has a very weak air force and a very weak navy. The U.S. could chop them to bits if they wanted to.No they can't.
Wait... you want to dismantle their oil sector?
WTF will that do to oil prices?
Have you thought this out throughly?
The US couldn't do jack with the Houthis bombing them to rubble. WTF do you think they will do with the Iranians?
We will see.
I don't think either side should feel comfortable at this point. The Israelis nukes and the Iranians has an obvious advantage in asymmetrical warrfare.
That's a hot topic, but it doesn't really matter. They also played a huge part in financing the Revolutionary War that established this country right? Last I read, this was why there is a Star of David on the dollar bill and maybe other bills too. The primary financier was named Haym Solomon.
Edit: currently on the back of the dollar bill there is a cluster of stars arranged in the 6 pointed Star of David. Not sure about the other denominationsHaym Salomon - Wikipedia

But they do have a formidable air defense system and hypersonic missiles that can sink US naval ships. Again, with necessity comes innovation. The Iranians are not going to be able to keep pace with the US in aircrafts because they ate expensive. So the focused on air defense. You're going to have to give me specifics on that one. The US needs to defeat the Taliban and Houthis before I can believe that. The U.S. could chop them to bits if they wanted to.
