Might as well lump all of the IRL discussion into one thread as well.

Kanaan on the pole for tomorrow's race in Kansas coming off his win in Japan. Rest of the grid: IndyCar® Series

Noticed another female in the race... Milka Duno?

I see.

Meanwhile, back in a real racing series, looks like Wheldon has been dominating today. Great call by me on Hornish, he's been out of the top 10 every time I turned it over there.

Something about turning down onto pit road coming off of turn 4. They are supposed to drop down out of the groove to enter pit road.

Bummer for him.

What happened to Kanaan I wonder. He was running 2nd, then I went back later and he was laps down.

Scott Sharp crashed with two laps to go. Race over. Scott Goodyear took a shot at those "other series'" who run a green-white-checkered in this instances.

Meanwhile, with the circus that is Indy now in the past, there is a nice championship battle shaping up...

1. Scott Dixon
2. Dan Wheldon -1
3. Dario Franchitti -3
4. Helio Castroneves -13
5. Sam Hornish Jr. -33
5. Tony Kanaan -33

If the IRL could get another solid team they would be set.

Ganassi, Penske, AGR are all top notch (with legit drivers). Rahal-Letterman is close. After that, Panther and on down are a bit weak.

All in all though, I think if more people watched a few IRL races, they'd like what they see.

The passing alone is worth watching a race - things happen very quickly.
