Irrational obsession with the Gators

I'll say this (and I haven't read the entire thread...cold medicine has my attention span very short), it does seem like we talk quite a bit about the Gators. But hey, they are a rival, and since we lost to them, we'll be watching closely for them to fall.

Look, everyone likes to find a weakness in a rival and pounce on it. Recently, it's been Zook. Now, it's the UM fantasy some Gators have built. UT put a small chink in the UM offense's armor, and Bama mae that a chunk. We're now waiting to see how they respond.

Keep this in mind as well, Gators. Anytime a team beats you, they stay on your mind more than others. It's human nature, really. Take a look at any Gator board over the last 2 years. Alot of Gators began to put UT on top of their most hated list. Same with Bama, UGA, etc. Hell, UGA hated us for the longest time, and UT fans looked at them like they were Vandy or UK for awhile (sorry Dawgs, but it's true). Things changed, and now UGA is on many a UT fan's most wanted list, when it was once a given.

Call it obsession if you wish. I'd say it's more jealousy due to the fact that you won and we didn't.

Sorry to hear about the cold OTD. But I think its making your ideas come out a little funny.

There is nothing jealous about my belief in UM and the UF Team. Ive said 2 things about them after they beat us. One, they outscored UT because UTs offense was, and still is struggling. Because it was/is struggling, it made the UF defense look brilliant.

So, UF fans take that UT win and run with it. Here we go! We beat Tennesse so we must be good. Look at what our defense did to UT. blah blah blah. Go back and look at what I said right after the UF game. A GOOD offensive team will expose UF.

Now, what happened in Tuscaloosa last Saturday? What kind of offense did the UF defense shut down in Gainesville on September 17? Just how did their #1 ranked defense shut down Bama?

Once Gator fans get a clue that they were very fortunate to beat an arch rival, Ill lay off the gator fans.

As for my last comment there, well, it's partially true, on my part, anyway.

Do I buy into the UM ordeal? Nah. I was just stating that there probably wouldn't be near as much talk about them if we had won and were not waiting for them to fail multiple times. That's all.

Sorry if the post was not comprehensible. LOL

No problem bro. Just wanted to state for teh record that there is no jealousy on my part for anything associated with UF. :D

I kow what you mean. I did not mean to say I am jealous of what they have or what they have done, other than beating UT. That's all that I meant.
