And I'm sure they signed all that shat for free. You know, just to help boost the local economy.

Behind the counter? Kind of awkward to explain away.

Did you read the letter?
These items were sold, "without his knowledge".

Why would Trent think it was going to be sold? The jersey on a hanger? The price tag on the jersey? The fact that he's in the back of a clothing retailer?

Maybe he thought it was for a charity auction. Is that still bad?

But if he didn't get paid for his autograph, there's nothing they can pin on the players/school, right? I'm just assuming nothing will come of this.

Nothing going to happen here. If Ohio State got away with it you know they'll let Bubba off the hook.

Did I miss something? Did they clear OSU? Last I heard it was getting bad up there. Theres no way trent didnt know and didnt receive some type of compensation. Hopefully they are next. This palce has a history of doing this, definately not just Trent.

Cleared of failure to monitor. Bama is another NCAA cash cow that will get, that is if anything comes of this a slap on the wrist

I read an al.com blog over the weekend that caught my attention. A guy on there claims to be a regular shopper there and knows for a fact that this store has had a relationship with Bama players for a long time. He also speculated on the Yahoo story that is supposedly breaking in a couple of weeks. Interesting stuff to say the least.

Side note: Cease and desist letter was dated Dec, 22. SAME day news broke on OSU. Maybe someone said "uh oh" and called the attorney and said get this guy a letter NOW

That I did not know. Things could get very interesting. I will wish Bama luck, I hate it when Bama fans are miserable.

Just saw the failure to monitor post. unreal, hwo the hell does this happen? Well the difference in this will be UAT is still on probation and this could fall under repeat offenders status, which I hope like hell it does. Its great watching Auburn and Alabama try and destroy each other. They are determined too.

I know that's right. Those two hate each other and it seems that they're constantly digging through each other's trash to see what they can dig up. I really like seeing them try to destroy each other.

Its definately been going on for years. Jelks and Ramsey is as far back as I know, because of my age but Im sure its well beyond that. But with internet and social media theres alot more access and easier to find and discuss.

NCAA will consult a local Tuscaloosa psychic about the matter, no evidence will show up in the crystal ball, and they will clear them, probably what happened with OHST as well.
