Is Coker Best RB In SEC???

difference is Charly that Arkansas can pound the ball with Jones and McFadden and keep our offense off the field. I don't what their time of possesion is but I imagine it's probably up there in the SEC. That's what Florida was able to and we only scored 20 points and lost the game.

Time of possession is a little overrated, but tiring defenses is underrated, so I agree to a degree.

McFadden is the best in my book. Irons a close second.

I noticed some picked Ken Darby!! What are you guys smoking?! He's half the back this year that he was last year! I am totally un-impressed with Kennith Darby.

McFadden is leading the SEC in rushing right now, so that's who gets my vote.

Bama's offensive line gets worse every year. I guess it's harder to draft linemen when you can't reach into your pocket before you shake their hand as you greet them. :birgits_giggle:

deshaun wynn is a fatass. he won't even get drafted.
He's a fatass who got 100 yards on us.

Well Milo you have just agreed with me then. B/c he wont touch the ball enough to get to 100. They will be playing from behind.

Let me point something out about the Auburn/Arky game. The tigers set up perfect for Arky to beat them. O line isnt very athletic and their offense relies on pounding the ball. They dont have quick score capabilities. So as soon as Arky got a lead they just pounded them up front. They cant do that to us. We can score at will and they will be forced to make Mustain throw the ball which will end up dooming them.

GAME OVER. Come again any time.

Thats exactly what will happen.

I think coker is the best freshman running back, and since arian foster might finally be 100% i think he could be the best running back in the sec.

No way you call a freshman RB with 2 starts the best RB in the SEC. I think he will be eventually, though. Of course he could rush for 3000 a season the next 3 years behind a middle school offensive line and some people would say he's not the best because he busted a couple of pass pros.

based on what i've seen thus far, there isn't a RB that has seperated themselves from the pack by leaps and bounds...but having said that, McFAdden is the most important to it's offense...and he leads the league in rushing...so he'd by my number one.

Darby is a good back, but he has been pedestrian this year, and has done nothing noteworthy. Irons is very good as well, and in my mind is also the most important part of Auburn's offense...so i'd have McFadden 1 and Irons 2. After that, you have several that are pretty good, Coker being one of them.

But i usually narrow these questions down by asking who would i rather have on my team...and the only two guys that might, repeat MIGHT fall in that category would be McFadden or Irons.

but all in all, there is no one RB in the SEC right now that is just leaps and bounds the head of the pack.

Not the best right now, he is only a freshman but look out next few years.
yep...it's nice to look at the roster and see all the folks coming back...we talk a lot on here about the other teams and who they have coming back etc...

but we're going to have some talent as well...Coker, Meach(hopefully), Ainge, hancock, rogers, taylor etc...we'll have some weapons as well. and in addition to coker, the other two will be back also....if we get any better up front on both sides of the ball, things will be looking up for us too...the SEC is going to be real interesting for the next couple of years.

Mark my word on this. McFadden is the best back in the SEC and it's not even close. All the other backs are good utility backs. DM is that special kind of back that comes along every now and then. The guy is a beast and will show everyone. I hate that he went to Arky and not UT. We were in on him early and I really wish we could have got him.

He'll be lucky to get 75 against us. Look at what the duo from Cal did to us. Nothing.

I am giving u a chance to take that back or you will be eating your foot after the game.:)

I doubt Cal has EVER had a back like McFadden. The kid has that IT that we all talk about. He is better than any back we have had since Jamal lewis.

I'll go so far as to say that McFadden could very well be a hypeman candidate next year. Arky better enjoy him because after next eyar that kid will be gone.

He'll run for about a buck 50 when we play Arkansas, a game I think we have a good chance of losing.

Someone needs to drain the gas out of the Arkansas bandwagon. They win one game and suddenly they're the team to beat in the SEC? This is the same team that, if not for a missed extra point, would have had to go into overtime against Vandy. The same team that got stomped 50-14 at home by USC. They also have very unimpressive wins against Utah State and Bama.

The fact is that Arkansas will suffer the same fate as GA against us. They will keep it close through the first half, then we will slow or shut down their running game. Mustain will then be forced into winning the game - and he will fail miserably. Their offense just won't be able to keep up with ours. We have a good enough running game to keep the defense honest and an outstanding passing game that can make big plays. GA prevented our offense from getting big 40+ yard plays, but we proved that we can still consistently move the ball against a good defense.

We're going to put down Arkansas and then everyone will jump off that rundown bandwagon.

I tell you what, if we can slow McFadden down and not turn the ball over we should beat Arky. But you can't take away that the kid is an awsome back. He is the type of back that everytime he touches the ball you think he might take it to the house. And like I said, we have not had that since Lewis.
