Is Hendon the Heisman favorite?

Should be. Reminder... the 1997 Heisman winner played in the Big 10 where he got support from the frostbite media and several former winners with bias against the SEC. Second place was Manning.

Deserving it and getting it are universes apart. Stroud will win it unless he somehow has a really bad game... which is doubtful considering his competition and the talent around him.

If I had a vote I’d still give it to Stroud. Just look at his stats. But if Hendon follows this up with a win against UGA there’s no way he doesn’t win it

It goes to the best player on the best team. The team and Hooker control if he will win it

Hooker is in the top 2 because of our schedule and big moments in big games. OSU hasn't played anyone yet, but their schedule gets interesting soon.

I should add that by season’s end I expect Hendon to be the undisputed favorite.
Nothing personal at all, I just don’t think Stroud has done anything particularly great thus far. No question he’s a good QB but I wouldn’t put him ahead of Hooker, hell I wouldn’t put him ahead of Bryce.

Realistically speaking, Tennessee has the best in-season resume. And HH has been the best player on the best team. It is only because we started the year unranked and our qb unrespected that we aren't currently number one and him the Heistman leader.

But Hooker is certainly top three currently and so is the team in the rankings. The Georgia game is for it all imo, although the SEC Title game is December 3rd. While the Heistman voting apparently ends December 5th.

Hyatt is in the Belitnikoff award running too obviously. All of this is truly remarkable...

25 TDs halfway through the season is pretty great, IMO, in any conference. If he finishes with 50 TDs on the season that would put him in the top 10 all-time. If they are also a playoff team, it’d be hard for anyone to not vote for him.

Hendon though has an opportunity to something even more special. If he wins a championship with this team it would be the greatest over-achievement since....?

Tennessee has had multiple runner ups.

Majors
Shuler
Manning

I don't see that changing, even if Hooker puts up video game like numbers. Stroud will get a late season push from the media and if his game against Michigan is even average, with a win against them, it's his.

Hooker is in top three. If he can have outstanding stats against Ky and UGA, he should become the leader of the pack.

Also may depend on the OSU/Mich matchup later in the season.
