And does anyone think that it could be slight cause for concern?

It is five days until the start of a season full of high hopes and extreme potential. Instead of being excited at what this season could bring, you are stressing about the holder, why?
Stressing is a strong word. Just a question. It’s an important position that requires poise in moments like the winning kick against Bama and other moments. I would expect that we will have some close games that could come down to a field goal.

Dude is a former pro league guy in Aussie football .. he is more than ready ..

also a dangerous arm (per his own claim) so watch out ..
You have to wonder why they put him at holder. Would be fun to see some fakes. I didn’t realize he was a former pro anything. I would imagine that would help put ice in his veins.

I’m hoping they have it sorted out by Bama. He will have a lot of live reps up till then I would guess.

In 38 years of collected data, there have only been 147 teams starting the season with a RS freshman or True freshman holder. Only 46 of those teams are from current P5 schools. The alarming part is that less than half of those teams made a bowl game, and only 3 made bowl games we would consider to be good bowls. No champions.

Actually, I made up everything above. No one tracks what year the holders are, or how common that is. If we have consistent problems in the kicking game due to the holders not being able to get the ball down quickly, laces out, we can become concerned then.

Again, it does no good to microanalyze the roster and then wonder about any particular position. This being a RS freshman to me means they well may have been involved for some time now and is getting to show how good they are. Is it something they did in high-school? I am sure there is a valid reason our wild and crazy special teams coach put them there. Relax and remember that there are only FOUR days until the start if what could well be a special season for those still suffering from BVS!

GO BIG ORANGE!

I need a show of hands here…who is really worried about who CJH allows to handle the football in crucial situation?

Until he gives me concern for his decision, it’s not going to bother me for anything he does to preparing our beloved football team.

You mean our mid-20s former professional Aussie Rules Football player RS Freshman?
I honestly didn't realize who was doing the holding. I wasn't worried one way or another. The interesting thing about him as a holder, it gives us a potential for fake FGs given the rumor about the strength of his arm. Our opponents are going to have a LOT to think about on special teams.

I am actually very relaxed. It was just a question. Maybe consider your own advice? :)
