That Dooley is as good a recruiter as Kiffin?

I mean look at the guys he's pulled in just the couple weeks he's been here. And he doesn't even have a full coaching staff

He did have two #1 recruiting classes as recruiting coordinator for LSU. Yep, I agree with this fine statement, sir!

Yes, but the comparison between staffs in terms of recruiting when complete will not be even close. Dooley is a good recruiter and we will get some talent, the staff that Kiffin assembled though, was other-worldly but likely would not have stayed together long.

You can already see the division that existed in the staff from the Gran/Wilson defection and Chaney/Thompson sticking around here. Not only were they some talented coaches that were likely to receive better job offers, but they did not all mesh with the way Kiffin decided to do things.

Could it be more so that some of the new recruits liked UT before, but were turned off by K****n, and now that he is gone, they are reconsidering us?

Your right and with the Kiffin staff we would have the NCAA on us all the time just like USC will. The Stone kid said he didnt like Kiffin and Ed O but he really likes Dooley

I believe we need another year to judge more appropriately, but I'm proud of the recruits we've brought in that are firm and excited about a couple of the guys Dooley's managed to get committed so far.

Actually his coach said that and he is simply trying to get his name in the press. He really isn't as close to the situation as he pretends to be and it's just as likely that Stone had no qualms about Kiffin and O.

Speak for yourself.

He did:no:

CDD is doing a fine job holding on to talent. I am a little worried about Copeland and Williams (previous staff) but also CDD's own commit Loften...

Not yet in the league of the former staff, but that may be a good thing...

No you couldn't have. But thanks for playing

You mean If I went to a kid who was being recruited by the likes of S. Alabama and Troy and told him that he could have a full scholarship to play ball at UT he would turn it down? I GURANTEE 95% of the time, he would not.

And Nance, all that kid was waiting for was an offer before he would say yes....these are not two kids who needed much persuasion.

Thanks for your comments though....I enjoy the feedback:hi:

NO! Dooley's much better!! Kiffin had a big name staff and 3 months. Dooley has well.... Dooley and a couple of other people...and is doing better! IN TWO WEEKS after all Heck broke loose!

Don't forget, Kiffn's only class was ranked 10th last year. Dooley will eclipse that this year I think!

Go Vols! Go Coach Dooley!

We now know Kiffin was about Kiffin. I believe Dooley is about Tennessee and the players.

To come play for you? No, I wouldn't and neither would they. Now could a coach with experience bring a couple of these guys in, yes...
