Is Nico being "pampered"

So much so that the thread titled "Running Out Of Bounds With No Time On The Clock" got removed.
It got merged with another one talking about how he underperformed and ran out of bounds…. which you’ve posted in multiple times. Nice conspiracy theory.

He needs to just get rid of the damn ball sometimes. They need to practice throwing it away under pressure, something hard to do when you don’t hit the QB in practice.
Ainge said coach Cut told him to count to three quickly and throw iy in the dirt if nothing was there.
Play for the next down.

Being “in the program”, and making SEC road starts are not the same thing… but I’m sure you know that. Right?
How any starts does he need before we can expect him to be able to execute in the offense on the road against a bad Arkansas team?

All around, we got away from toughness and being the more physical team. There was no chip on our shoulder. Arkansas kicked us around on both sides of the ball evidenced by our receivers and qb getting banged up. They won’t come out and say it but Nico got roughed up. Took several shots to the ribs and chest. Thats football though. We need to come out and kick Florida in the mouth on offense. Play 1 needs to be a designed qb power with a guard or te pulling to clear the way. Let them know Nico is here to play. I’m not worried about our defense at all. They continue to play great ball, just got gassed at the end at arky.

Arkansas backup QB didn't seem to have any trouble adapting, and he's played a lot less than Nico. Also gets paid way, way less.

Sample size difference genius. If all we saw from Nico was his first quarter pass to Donte Thornton at Oklahoma we would be readying his bust in the Hall of Fame.

Exactly, play balls to the wall, period. I don’t understand the conservative play calling BS. There is no sense in playing if you don’t want to win.

I’m doubting his game day intellect as well. When I hear him speak, he’s not very articulate. He mumbles. On the field he’s not a general. He doesn’t lead which worries me. At least not vocally. He seems to be a go along to get along feller.

Hopefully, that part will come along since he is still just a RS freshman and in his first full season as a starter. I remember when Peyton came in at UCLA for the first time, he was trying to be all commanding about what they were going to do. I think it was Trey Teague who told him to shut up and just call the play. LOL

He's terrible you got freshman QBs running all over the place trying to win games for their team, he stands there just like Milton, as highly ranked as he was coming out of highschool and has been in this system for 2 years he shouldn't be this bad

Sounds like you’re creating the narrative your emotions are telling you to. We shall see I guess. Cheers.

I wonder if they have got in his head and told him not to scramble as much and not get hurt. It's like he's playing scared

A few more. I don't think Arky is as bad as they were made out to be. They threw away their two losses this year and Bobby Petrino is a good play caller. We just got trapped into believing they are a bad team. In each of their "losses", they significantly outgained their opponents in yards gained. They are not a bad team.

There's not a singular answer here. When our O line can't block a 5-man box, our offense will struggle. Our O line also had issues with pass protection due to poor execution and poor effort at times. Nico routinely throws late, and I think the game is moving a little too fast for him right now. There are times when he runs when he should throw and tries to throw when he should run. Nico is going to need some help from the running game that he's not getting because of the O line play.
