He was afraid with the new coaching staff they would look another direction or pull his offer. Sounds stupid but I am pretty sure he said something similar to it.

I a pretty good feeling Palardy will be a Vol come NSD, but I think its pretty retarded to think CDD would pull the offer of the #1 kicker in the country. Given our recent kicking game problems...

If Dooley even considered rescinding Palardy's scholarship, he should be terminated immediately.

Well he just had one coach bail on him. I'm sure he wasn't really in the trusting mood after that. I don't blame a kid for covering himself. Also I don't think he or most people realize how bad we need a good kicker.

ok i need to know...how bad was the kicking game?(other than the alabama game)

It cost us more than one game. It was one of the worst years I've seen in a while (at UT). I really don't understand the reason for it, our kicker was tremendous his freshman year and solid last year. He is a huge need for TN.

Honestly this kid would be literally worshiped if he had a good year at UT. Streets and babies named after him, statues and altars erected in his honor...seriously the kid would be a complete rock star on this campus. On how many campuses are you going to find 104,000 people chanting a kicker's name every Saturday? Won't happen in Miami, I know that for sure.

Why would things "fall out" for Palardy here? That makes no sense, he is a freaking kicker. Even if for some reason we suck for the next four years, he would be guranteed playing time for his entire career at a big time SEC school.
