Is SC not going to be a beat down?

I still want to think of SC on the Mizzou and Vandy level, but first Kentucky (yes, with a backup qb) and now a&m? Like the majority on here I thought SC would struggle to become bowl eligible this season and Beamer was in over his head. Are we to the point we now need to view SC on the level of Florida and Kentucky? At some point you are what your record says you are I guess? Still hard to view the cocks as a legit threat for me.
I have had SC on the schedule as a be careful game, but then again I had us winning 9 games max and more likely 7 or 8. So, I don't know what to think. In this league, we still have a game we should lose and 2-4 we better play our butts off to win games ahead of us.

I’m sure will play them as usual at 7:30 at night on SEC Network. Never fails when we play there. That cornball of a coach can celebrate when they get garbage tds after we mopped the floor with them being up 4tds at the half.
A noon kickoff against South Carolina would be cool

I had as us between 7-5 and 9-3 also with 7-5 being a bad sign of happened, 8-4 being good progress, and 9-3 being great progress. Obviously the goalposts have moved a bit.

Now, I have 11-1 as most likely with 10-2 possible if we let one get us past us, but 12-0 also being possible and even likely if we get past Georgia. Any of those results and I’m still through the moon with happiness. 11-1 means we took care of business in the games we were supposed to. 12-0 speaks for itself.

10-2 means we dropped one we probably shouldn’t, but every team can have a bad game where they maybe overlooked someone. I think the coaches will stop this from happening, but even Saban coached teams have close calls against opponents they shouldn’t now and again. If they weren’t so talented they would lose a lot more. The intensity we saw with the starters against UT Martin was really good to see.

I’d still see 9-3 as a good season but also be disappointed as it would mean we drop Georgia and then two teams we should not lose to if we prepare properly and take care of business. I mean it would obviously get a lot of people complaining, but depending on the games themselves and how we lost, I believe the staff could right things for the next season.

Remember, our win-loss isn’t the only thing going for us: it’s also who we beat and how exciting we have been. We only get scarier as our talent improves.

Anything less than 9 wins and I think while it will have been a cool season where we did some great things, the ending would be very disappointing and while I wouldn’t lose faith entirely I would be a little pessimistic about whether we can fix those kind of issues.

SC seems to be a pretty solid team.

However Tennessee has the best O in the country…….and SC’s D gives up more than Tennessee.

This “shouldn’t” be close.

Probably because this is a road game but I would be more worried about this than the KY game………if I were going to worry.

Yeah man, that’s how message boards work.

Yeah, I just read whatever someone posted and if I want to reply, I reply to that. If I’m going back to your post history it means I suspect you are a troll or maybe vaguely remember some post of yours that makes whatever the current one is look hypocritical and am getting ammunition.

This is getting ridiculous. Makes me not even want to follow social media this season.

They got Florida on the road the week before us. Florida will need the win more. I don't know how well Napier will do long term, but I think he gets the win.

USCe 7-3 when we play, 7-4 after.

I watched some of that game too. IMHO A&M has a good defense but otherwise they are just bad - anemic offense, poor special teams, and just overall undisciplined. Seems Ike Jimbo has cashed in and tuned out.

He may have Haynesworthed them?

Anyoaroumd here still whining @ ATM hiring a top flight proven coach, while we are left to only the mid-major leftovers? 😉

I've hated that place ever since the loss there in 92. Still can't get that game out of my hand. I lead a tortured existence.
I still hate that mullet headed Steve Taneyhill. He looked like their frigging mascot.

Edit: Taneyhill was the mascot.
Got beat by their mascot playing QB. That truley was the low point of Johnny Majors career.

It was, but he had his OC undercutting him and creating factions in the locker room, so tough to win with that going on. Phil gonna look out for Phil.

Beamer is a better coach than he’s been given credit for. I think we beat South Carolina, but I don’t think they’ll be a pushover.
They're a very athletic team. I watched them play yesterday, not a great team, but not someone we can overlook either. SC always plays us tough.
