Is SC not going to be a beat down?

I still want to think of SC on the Mizzou and Vandy level, but first Kentucky (yes, with a backup qb) and now a&m? Like the majority on here I thought SC would struggle to become bowl eligible this season and Beamer was in over his head. Are we to the point we now need to view SC on the level of Florida and Kentucky? At some point you are what your record says you are I guess? Still hard to view the cocks as a legit threat for me.

I’ve been saying that Florida, SC, and Kentucky are on the same level for awhile now. Was saying it before we played Florida. But I don’t mean that as a compliment to SC…we overrate Florida in our heads every year. They need to be treated like SC…a solid mid-tier bowl program. Not bad like Vanderbilt or Missouri, but a team we should beat…sometimes badly. SC is a 6 or 7 win-type program. So are the other two, with some years they can jump up and win 8 or 9. Kentucky benefits from a ridiculously easy schedule, so their win ceiling is a little higher.

They're benefitting from a ridiculously easy schedule and a key injury. The teams with a pulse beat them down
Yes, Tennessee goes into the dead cockroach and wins by 30. They are going to be the worst 8-2/7-3 we’ve ever seen on November 19.

How is that a tough place to play? The team is bad and they weren't even sold out last night

Beamer hilariously calling it the best environment in the country didn't make it true
I didn’t say I agreed with his moronic comment that’s it’s the greatest environment. I said it’s not going to be the cakewalk may thought it was going to be.

Which game do you think will be a bigger beat down

Tennessee vs South Carolina or Clemson vs South Carolina

My biggest fear of any opponent this season is our CBs cant cover bread with mayonnaise. Thats our only true weakness right now.
Agreed. But we are willing to play anyone including the walk on.

Burrell - out for season
Hadden/Charles - out yesterday
Turentine - out 5 mins into game

Couple this with our SS being out for 2 games and it’s hard to get any continuity.

Our OL by comparison has had 1 personnel change in 7 games. That’s why they are better every week.

Cocks beat UK with WL and TAMU with 3 FR OL playing. Still Ws but not impressive Ws.

A&M has a really really good chance to finish out their year 5-7. I’m not impressed by USC’s win. People were looking at their top 10 preseason ranking and $500 million draft class as of that meant anything. The results are speaking for themselves.

I'm looking into my cracked crystal ball, and here's what it showed me.

If the UT reaches the NCS, whether we win it all or not, several of Jimbo's recruits will come to wear orange. The first among them will be that, I think, DL player we wanted but went there instead. My cracked crystal ball told me so.

I was concerned when I saw the schedule. If we got through the nest of the schedule, my concern was that ending with SC, MO and Vandy would be taken too lightly. That’s ok with MO and Vandy( hopefully) but at SC can be a tough place to play. This team has shown an ability to refocus each week, but that one will be tougher than many believe. I think they play Clemson the following week so they may be focused that direction, but winning that game isn’t a gimme.
We're ranked ahead of Clemson 🙄...

That's every game. Georgia literally should have lost to Mizzou. What a unique take, or something.
no
Georgia scored 26 points, and Missouri scored 22 points in that game.
Literally, a team with 22 points should not beat the team that scored 26 points.
If that happens, something is very wrong somewhere.

I think and I said this on the Tam/USC thread, they put them on our schedule late thinking they might beat us later in the schedule. At their place it won’t be a easy game but we should beat them. Actually, this game probably scares me more than the Ky game.

Not sure we want a “me first” kid of guy. Garner has no time for that.

Beamer is a better coach than he’s been given credit for. I think we beat South Carolina, but I don’t think they’ll be a pushover.
If we play our game, no one except UGA has a chance against us. KY and SC can both give us a game, but neither are aligned to keep up with us. KY thinks they use last year's formula of controling the clock, but people forget we have film on them too...and our coaches have proven that they can gameplan and scheme up teams pretty well.
