Is The 1/6 Commission Coming?

Moving away from a harmful stereotype isn't the same as melting down over a trans person in a beer ad lol
Relatives of Aunt Jemima actresses express concern history will be erased with rebranding

"I understand the images that white America portrayed us years ago. They painted themselves Black and they portrayed that as us," Vera Harris, whose great aunt, Lillian Richard, traveled the country promoting the Quaker Oats brand and portraying the Aunt Jemima character for more than 20 years, told NBC News. "I understand what Quaker Oats is doing because I'm Black and I don't want a negative image promoted, however, I just don't want her legacy lost, because if her legacy is swept under the rug and washed away, it's as if she never was a person."

She's an idiot

Lots of idiots out there in the world, would we be justified in shooting and killing them all? I’m kinda thinking that wouldn’t be acceptable and we would be held accountable for it. In fact, shoot the first looter you encounter and I guarantee you will be hung up by your Buster Browns and sued for every dime you’ve got.

EXCLUSIVE: House Republicans Call Out Cassidy Hutchinson’s J6 Testimony, Threaten Subpoena If She Does Not Produce Documents

Republicans on the Oversight Subcommittee for House Administration sent a letter Monday to the Jan. 6 Committee’s key witness, Cassidy Hutchinson, demanding she preserve and produce all records and materials in her possession related to the events of Jan. 6.

The Daily Caller first obtained a copy of the letter, which was spearheaded by Chairman Barry Loudermilk of Georgia. Loudermilk called on Hutchinson to provide the subcommittee with all documents, communications, electronic information and metadata that is or could be related to her different testimonies regarding Jan. 6 and the Select Committee to Investigate the January 6 Attack on the United States Capitol.

“On June 28, 2022, you testified during one of the Select Committee’s primetime hearings. During this hearing you asserted that former President Donald Trump attempted to grab the steering wheel from one United States Secret Service employee driving the vehicle and lunged at another,” Loudermilk wrote in the letter.

“However, in your previous three transcribed interviews on February 23, 2022, March 7, 2022, and May 17, 2022, you did not mention this interaction. You subsequently testified that you spoke with Alyssa Farah Griffin in order to orchestrate the third interview with the Select Committee on May 17th without your attorney’s knowledge. Despite this, you did not recount this attention-grabbing series of events during the May 17th interview,” he continued.

‘I Misspoke’: Ana Navarro Forced To Correct False Claim About J6 Live On Air

“The View” co-host Ana Navarro had to issue a correction about a false claim she made about the Jan. 6, 2021 Capitol riot Monday.

Footage released by NBC News showed Republican Texas Rep. Troy Nehls confronting Jan. 6 rioters as a law enforcement officer held a gun directly at a rioter. Navarro falsely said a Republican congressman held that gun.

“That’s in the well of the House. That is a Republican congressman holding a gun to the insurrectionists who were about to break in, who were coming for them,” Navarro falsely said. “How those Republicans can then go and endorse and support and campaign for Donald Trump, who was the cause for that insurrection, who incited it and promoted [it]. How they can live with themselves, how they can pretend it was tourists touring the Capitol. How they can go around, [like] Elise Stefanik echo[ing] Trump’s words calling them hostages.”

Biden Compares Jan 6 Protesters To Confederate Soldiers, Dubs It Second ‘Lost Cause’

President Joe Biden drew comparisons during a Monday speech between protesters at the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021, to Confederate soldiers who couldn’t accept that they had lost the Civil War.

Biden gave a speech Monday at Mother Emanuel AME Church, one of the oldest black churches in the south, only days after Vice President Kamala Harris made a similar trip to speak to the Seventh Episcopal District AME Church Women’s Missionary Society. The president said during his speech that Confederate soldiers embraced a “lost cause” after not coming to terms with the result of the Civil War, then moving on to talk about the Capitol riot, adding that Americans are now living in an era of a “second lost cause.” (RELATED: Biden Speech Goes Off The Rails As Pro-Palestinian Protesters Start Ceasefire Chant)

“After the Civil War, the defeated confederates couldn’t accept the verdict of the war, they had lost,” Biden said. “So they say, they embraced what is known as ‘the lost cause,’ a self-serving lie that the Civil War was not about slavery but about states’ rights. They called that the noble cause. That was a lie.”

“Now we are living in an era of a second lost cause,” Biden continued. “Once again there are some in this country trying, trying to turn a loss into a lie. A lie, which if allowed to live will once again bring terrible damage to this country and this time the lie is about the 2020 election. The election which you made your voices heard. And your power is known.”
