Is UT's class effectively complete?

It fills the needs at OL, DT, DE, OLB, and safety. We also got a number 2 or 3 RB in Chandler.

We are really pretty well set for another run at the SEC barring another year of injuries.

Offense

TE Wolf
LT Kendrick
LG Robertson
C Coleman
RG Jones
RT Hall
WR Byrd
WR Jennings
WR Malone/Calloway
QB Dormady/Guaratano
PK Medley
P Daniel

Defense

DE Kongbo
DT Vickers
DT Tuttle
DE Phillips

OLB McDowell
MLB Kirkland
OLB Smith

CB Buchanan
CB Abernathy
SS Kelly
FS Warrior

NB Golsten

I take Butuli over Smith but I smell what you're stepping in.

Nope not at all. I don't think it's full of elite talent, but I don't think its a garbage class either! We won't have an elite class like Bama or OSU till we start winning 10-12 games a year! I do think there is some great pieces to help this team though! A class can't be judge now just going off rankings, it will take 2 years to come back and say wether this class was good or great!

It's kind of like the Chicken and the Egg situation. Because you pretty much have to have Elite Talent to win 10 to 12 games a year

Kongbo will likely be a DT. I would put Taylor as a DE. Holy pass rush Batman.

We've pulled in 5 star recruits that "we had no chance at" on the day of signing all the way back to Fulmer. This class is far from over.
I just wish we would be more selective

Call me crazy but Safe Money seems to be on Akers and Ray not suiting up in Orange. If you know something else please enlighten us, that's what this thread is for.

Don't get me wrong, I got my boom cocked and loaded in case we pull one of those players, but it just doesn't seem like it's in the cards. I was hoping somebody had some good news I didn't know about in this thread.

So "in other words", you disagree? :)

I'm hoping this lineup is off a little we'll get killed without a running back.

I believe this class will have a couple of different names added by signing day, but nobody to get real excited about. It pretty much is what it is now. We are not getting Akers, Ray or any other big timers IMO. It is just a disappointing year altogether. Hopefully next year we can exceed expectations on the field, and really make a good run in recruiting.

Sadly, I don't think that Tuttle will be ready to play until hopefully midseason. I hate to see him miss games, but his injury will just take some time to heal.

Thats not too bad. I mean especially considering there are fans who think winning 8-9 games a year is fine. So being 8th in the SEC should be enough talent to win 8-9 games a year.

Let's see. We went from Fulmer who had lost heart and interest to a coach who used us as a stepping stone to his dream job to lame duck Dooley to 4th place winner of the job CBJ who has brought us back to prominence (whether you like it or not). Yea, I'm ready to scrap him and let's start all over. It was fun!!

I would like to see Byrd primarily on defense with some.snaps per game on offense

Worked for Peppers at Michigan. Not even that impressive of stats and still got to lose the Heisman in person. :)
