We here at VN truly are the legions of the miserables! We're griping about coaches and players and AD's because we can't even win a game of horse shoes. Years ago we wanted rid of Fulmer because he couldn't beat Fla even if you spotted him two TD's! Before him it was Majors because he couldn't beat even a terrible Baama team!

"Legions of the miserables" is grammatically incorrect twice over:

-VN, as a collective, is only one legion, not multiple legions

-Since "legion" is a term describing a group, there is no need to pluralize "miserable"

The correct term is "a legion of the miserable." And yes, a lesson in grammar is all that this thread was really worth.

Mods, there has to be some kind of quota or cap on thread titles like this one.

We all know the "reality of the program". I guess this is a way for some folks to vent all the frustration they feel. It has been a long season for all of us.

Here's to two more wins and a bowl game!

Actually, the problem is not the fans. They are able and willing to support a respectable program. The problem is the powers in charge. We allowed incompetent people to run the program. EX: Mike Hamilton. And now we have Hart & Cheek.

The reality of the situation is that we are 2 more years away from being competitive in the SEC and have to blindly trust bUTch and Co. to get it done. So far, there have been conflicting results this year (ie recruiting vs execution on the field) as to whether or not bUTch is the man for the job.

It's a tough pill to swallow because we said the same exact thing 2-3 years ago with Doolander. No fanbase wants to wait to win, esp a program as storied as UT. Unfortunately, we don't have a choice.
