Actually, the problem is not the fans. They are able and willing to support a respectable program. The problem is the powers in charge. We allowed incompetent people to run the program. EX: Mike Hamilton. And now we have Hart & Cheek.

this is the truth but the/sheep say it isnt so.... he went the ojt route with a 70m cash cow.. i dont think he majored n business.. hart will never hire a coach bigger than him.. he had that at fla/state n couldnt stand he could not fire bobby bowden..

quit donating n buying tn gear n they/will fire him.. cbj better.win n year two because another.year of blowouts n fans will run for the/exit.. n the sheep on vn will say he needs more/time n his own players..

Rehire Fulmer and Pearl and shut this mutha down!

Rehire the guy that, despite a great overall career for which I'm indebted and grateful, started all this due to poor recruiting classes and losing seasons? Nah. Give Butch time.

First issue....you guys whine and complain about the players "giving up" on the field, but what are most of you doing to the team? Giving Up on them....calling this team out for something that you yourself is doing. FAKE

Second issue....begining of the season everyone was realistic and "ok" with having 6 wins in butch's first season, now that we have a chance for 6 wins, everywhine is crying that it isn't enough...we need 8, or I can't believe we lost to the # 1, 2, 6, and 9 ranked schools in the country....JC I get on this site to here opinions from real football fans....not all you unrealistic posers

Now for all you "real" fans....lets get behind our team for the last two games and prepare for our bright future.

The correct term is "a legion of the miserable." And yes, a lesson in grammar is all that this thread was really worth.

Not sure who annoys me more; the one who types with bad grammar or the self-appointed grammar policeman who feels the need to create a post just to explain what was wrong with the guy's grammar. And then tells us that is the only reason he posted in the thread. If you don't like the thread then don't post in it. I don't like the thread either but your post forced me to post in response to your silly post.

Players play for each other and the team, fans root for a team not a coach. Anyone who does otherwise is not being a good teammate or a true fan. There is no excuse for players quitting, stop making excuses for them. I don't care if they go through a new coach each year. It's part of life.

Basically, i agree with you. However, some players play for their teamates, their coach, the fans, and the school. Others play for themselves. The rest are somewhere in between. Some fans root for the team and the coach. That's when the team is winning and giving great effort. Take the KY game 2 years ago. A lot of the players weren't playing for anyone, and they had all but given up on their coach.

I agree as you say, "There is no excuse for players quitting," at anytime. When you are dealing with a group, nothing is always black and white. There will be a wide range of personalities and emotions in play. However, I would hope each player would have pride enough to give their all, but that's just not the case, unfortunately.
