Striking a high ranking Iranian general who was responsible for the killing of US soldiers and was involved in planning of future attacks on US interests....... Said country also striking US and Western civilian shipping I think are both pretty good indications of where we stand...Is Iran legally an enemy, as in is there a declaration of war or some such which means they are? Maybe our sanctions on them would be sufficient legal indication but then maybe not.
Israel’s military confirms killing of Hashem Safieddine, Hezbollah’s apparent heir to Hassan Nasrallah
The Israeli military confirmed Tuesday that Hashem Safieddine, who was believed to be Hezbollah’s next top official, was killed in an Israeli attack. He was found to have been killed in an Oct. 4 …nypost.com
Good points. Another aspect is whose secrets were leaked. Those weren't our plans but Israel's. So where's the harm / treason to us?Striking a high ranking Iranian general who was responsible for the killing of US soldiers and was involved in planning of future attacks on US interests....... But it is short of actual declaration.
Let someone else put makeup on half their face, decide to listen to music at a rally rather than speak, and make increasingly disjointed statements as the campaign goes by and see who doesn't question their sanity. Or maybe he's just trying to not win.How does he seem “more insane as each day goes by”
Who ever hired this chick needs to be fired as well. From the article:
Possibly worse than Malley’s appointment is that of Ariane Tabatabai, an academic turned State Department and Pentagon official. She was part of the now-infamous Iran Experts Initiative — a program used by Tehran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs to cultivate relationships with foreign academics who could carry water for the regime.
At one point, according to reporting from Semafor, which revealed the program’s existence, Tabatabai opted to skip a conference in Israel after an Iranian official instructed her not to go. She also consulted with this same Iranian official regarding how she should testify in hearings before Congress. Her job today — chief of staff to the Pentagon official who oversees special operations.

The alarming leak of U.S. intel about Israel’s retaliation plans shows the Biden administration is compromised by individuals sympathetic to the terrorist regime.www.nationalreview.com

Just a gut reaction on my part, but I suspect the release was from much higher on the intelligence/diplomatic/defense food chain.Who ever hired this chick needs to be fired as well.
So she was in communications with Iranian officals and she not only kept her job but was potentially privy to information about our Special Operations command?
Because it's our intelligence, our ally and our enemy. Whether it's us striking them or not it is in our interests. Treason is giving aid or comfort to the enemy. It's not a stretch to view offering them intelligence about an imminent attack as treason.Good points. Another aspect is whose secrets were leaked. Those weren't our plans but Israel's. We certainly need to if we don't have it figured already. As noted by another poster above it may have come from the top. Netanyahu's a loose cannon to say the least and this may have been an attempt to guide his hand.Because it's our intelligence, our ally and our enemy. And here's another wrinkle I was considering last night. We have asked Israel to avoid nuclear or oil facilities. And reports were that Israel had agreed and would hit military targets........ My worry is this is seen as a US dagger in their side. That the restraint they had agreed to at our urging may be off the table.
These little details can often change the entire course of events. The US needs to get this figured out and handled quickly.
If you believe he is a loose cannon, and you already believed to have had his agreement to avoid nuclear and oil facilities then this was the stupidest move imaginable. We certainly need to if we don't have it figured already. As noted by another poster above it may have come from the top. Netanyahu's a loose cannon to say the least and this may have been an attempt to guide his hand.
The only difference here is that Pollard directly handed them over. The end result was the same. The intended beneficiary of the information still got that information. They should join him in prison. A bullet to the head would be much better, but we are supposedly a civilized nation. No one gave Iran anything though. Pollard gave secrets to Israel. They just leaked them. Now Iran obviously benefited. And that was the leakers intent
