Yeah I get all that, but Byzantium wasn't their parent state. They were heavily influenced by the Orthadox church and the Byzantines, but their origins started in Kyiv. You also stated the Ottomans stole all of their territory. That is why I asked when did the Russians have control of Byzantium.

Get the Zionists and Hamas way from the table and get negotiations going amongst the moderates on both sides along with regional leaders. And leave the US out of any talks. We've had enough bites at the apple to see that we haven't come up with a solution, plus we are not an honest roker since we favor one side over the other. If theChinese or Russians want to jump in along with the regional leaders, let them have at it. Meanwhile, we can wash our hands of the Middle East and bring our boys home. Let them sort that out over there.
