Defending that barbaric religion, and its book full of hate and deceit, is a futile task among educated Westerners. I very highly doubt the Saudi royals and other super rich of the ME actually practice islam at all except in public. They can’t undue the damage they’ve already done spreading the Hamas lie. So why not just leave up the original tweet spreading the Hamas lie that blames Israel and claims 500.

Edit the original tweet, or delete and issue a correction that references the original tweet. Then there’s no accusation of “cover up”.

But no - they leave up their original tweet that spreads the lie for anyone to stumble across.

And no, they corrected nothing. “US now says.. and we need an independent investigation” - and that was the last they had to say.

AP didn't say 'it was Israel that bombed the hospital"; they said 'hamas says Israel bombed the hospital'. They had also tweeted the IDF's assertion that it was a hamas misfire, and later reported that an investigation points to the same:

Those two organizations seem pretty impartial if we don't cherry pick their output.
