What makes you think someone like, let's say you, understands what's going on there and they can't?

You say many have been affected….I’d say most could not pass a 10 question quiz on the basic facts of the situation.

I understand how you could feel that way, but from where I’m sitting, a conversation like you and I are in right now would go a lot further in creating understanding and actually making change than a protest…. Which honestly has degenerated into fit pitching regardless of who is putting on the protest.

Back to my original thought. Antifa and BLM were fun for the news to cover and everyone to complain about until the mob lost interest. My issues with them were based solely on disagreeing along ideological lines and going too far and becoming violent in the protest. The same can be said for the Jan 6th **** show. But all those groups were protesting some in their lives that impacted their lives directly.
I’m sure there were useful idiots in those groups too but that’s actually not the issue.

And there are just way too many examples of these “protesters” not having a clue about the basic facts.

You did notice that I am not out there chanting with a sign about this BS, Didn’t you?

I prefer to spend my time that I can spare working on veterans housing (handyman repair) and working locally to help fight human trafficking.

What do you do to benefit others around you?

I’ve got plenty to protest….including Biden and congress giving away our money for wars that are none of our business.
Also if Hamas would give back the hostages….in particular the US citizens….all the death stops.
We should protest that together.

It would be good if the hostages were returned. They never should have been kidnapped. But their return won't stop the killing.

I know right from wrong. Killing people and stealing their homes and land goes in the 'wrong' column. It's an easy call.

There’s no way to know for sure but it definitely won’t stop till they are.

So when do you want to meet to help me protest?
We should protest at a Waffle House, that way when we’re done and nothing changes we can get some food.
We will probably be hungry afterwards.

Buying land from a landlord and kicking the renters out isn’t theft no matter how you try and spin it. You’re correct though, Hamas attacking women, children and the elderly is definitely bad.

There's a long history of it happening since the first part of the last century. Much more recently, didn't you yourself say several times that there will be no more Gaza?
Either side attacking women, children or the elderly is definitely bad.

Nazis were (and are) racial supremacists. Today's campus protesters are against the racial supremacists. So they're on the same side as those earlier students who demonstrated against the Nazis.

And I’ve been abundantly clear that I would handle things differently. The reality is that both sides say and want this to be to the death. They both have made it clear that there can only be one. Not many people seem to believe that. I do. I don’t think there will be anything but Israel when it’s finished. Not just because of the war but because the wealth landowners are selling to Israel huge tracts have already been purchased.
One step further. I think the West Bank is very close behind Gaza in disappearing. Same reason. Same landowners selling out.
