You said the protestors at Columbia are rich white kids. I said that’s oversimplifying and inaccurate because it is. Columbia has a good number of Black, brown, Muslim and Palestinian students, many of whom are participating in these protests among others. No need to pretend it’s just white kidsWrong
Again adding what you want and addressing that instead of what is said
go look at the film of the protest. You said the protestors at Columbia are rich white kids. I said that’s oversimplifying and inaccurate because it is. If you think you can tell from one video that the protestors are all white kids who don’t know anything about the conflict, then I was right, conservative media has done a number on you.go look at the film of the protest.
The makeup of the mob is irrelevant to the percentage of the makeup of students. And I’m sure they participate in protests. But this protest was Lilly white.
Again you are not talking about what I’m talking about.
Here & Now’s Celeste Headlee speaks with one of the student protesters at Columbia named Layal, who was born in Palestinian territories and is helping to support people who are now camping on the school’s west lawn.
Look it up and see if you can figure it out.Ok, show me which protestors have been taken to court with that “legal precedent”
Do you think there’s some type of game being played? If you think you can tell from one video that the protestors are all white kids who don’t know anything about the conflict, then I was right, conservative media has done a number on you.
Because I said it’s inaccurate to say the protestors are all rich white kids who don’t understand the conflict, based on nothing more than your view of one video? Lol okDo you think there’s some type of game being played?
Is there some scoring mechanism you keep in your head?
Or are your convictions so fragile that you need to assign your a nefarious reason to someone else to explain why they don’t agree with you?
Seriously, it’s almost every post.
I’m not focusing, I said what I meant.I understand that you are focusing on “legal precedent” rather than the far more meaningful “legal cases” because there aren’t any
That has nothing to do with whether “intifada” in a chant is hate speech, which is why there are zero cases lol. You said “chanting genocide” and now are pointing to precedent that requires assault as a component, if they were “chanting for genocide” you wouldn’t need assault as a hookI’m not focusing, I said what I meant.
Legal precedent was just set that if someone assaults a Jew during the protest and they chanted anything the victim perceived as antisemitism then they can be charged with a hate crime.
Will there be cases?
We will see, but nothing you said after my comment is relevant to what I said.
I haven't read anything he's said, but I'm trying to understand where he's going with this rich white kid flex. Rich white kids were marching for civil rights in the 1960s, but they were directly impacted by Jim Crow.If you think you can tell from one video that the protestors are all white kids who don’t know anything about the conflict, then I was right, conservative media has done a number on you.
When people don’t agree with protests, they have to paint the protestors as soft rich white kids, not really caring and jumping on the bandwagon because someone told them to. Tale as old as time.I haven't read anything he's said, but I'm trying to understand where he's going with this rich white kid flex. Rich white kids were marching for civil rights in the 1960s, but they were directly impacted by Jim Crow.
I don't understand the flex here. Can white people not comprehend the situation without having 10 ties down in Gaza?
I'm on record as saying that I think you have a mixture if people at these protests. Some that are just looking for attention, some that are genuine and some that may just be following a fad. But, I think that the danger for the Zionists and genocide supporters is if one of these goon cops or national guard guys decides to create a Kent State event, then you will unify these different groups into a single genuine cause that is bigger than the Palestinian cause and public sentiment could (could) change. I say "could" because I think some of these Boomers and MAGA folk would probably harden their stance if we had college aged protesters being popped. When people don’t agree with protests, they have to paint the protestors as soft rich white kids, not really caring and jumping on the bandwagon because someone told them to. Sorry, that’s incomplete. Soft rich kids WHO ARE ALSO DANGEROUSLY VIOLENT lol

I will set aside the rest and just point out that you said the legal precedent was set that “globalize the intifada” = “chants for genocide” when the unsourced precedent that you yourself brought up doesn’t say that at all.Again with the lol.
Are you trying to convince yourself of something or do you not know what “lol” means? And honestly I thought we were beyond that.
There may or may not be cases. That’s irrelevant to what was set last week. The legal standard has been set and people can now be charged with the hate crime rider. You not liking it or even knowing about it doesn’t change anything regardless of how many “lol”s you try to convince yourself with.
And after reading the rest of that I’m not sure you understand how hate crimes work.
Round and round and round we go.
I can’t wait to see where your next flight of ideas takes us.
