Israel vs Palestinians

I can't believe you think Israel and Netanyahu are so precious that this would be the greatest mistake of all time. Why on earth should this matter so much? He's not Jesus and it's just a country/government.

Y'all have lost your fkn minds about Israel.
No, I am only speaking of political reality. The mistake would be the alienation and possible loss of some percentage of the Jewish vote. This has nothing to do with Netanyahu or Israel; it is about purposely turning your back on one of the most reliable voting blocks in your coalition. As closely divided as American politics is today, even a loss of 10% of the Jewish vote can tip the scales in multiple close races.

Here's the post to which I replied "why is that?":

See professor, the way you wrote it, you're talking about any Muslim. You weren't referring to one particular person.
You followed that up by writing that most Muslims and Christians are **** people, which is a bl**dy f***ing trash thing to say.
What you've written is very clear. The question now is how much more you'll try to deny it.
Again you are trying to argue what you want it to say instead of what I said.
Notice you never asked for clarification, just went on a strawman attack

It’s what you do.

So those gay hating hypocrites…good people in your mind?

Then why was “humans” plural
I called out one guy.
He asked why I thought that. So I mentioned the group the one guy is a member of and how a portion of that group tends to act.
So you think the gay haters that tend to dominate that group are good people?
I don’t.

Although plenty of Jewish Americans hold Israel precious, I don't think they tend to feel that way about far-right Netanyahu. It'd be like if you lived in Israel and Israelis don't go to see Obama speak. You gonna be mad?

How they feel about Netanyahu is probably secondary to their desire to see Israel safe. It is becoming more apparent each day that a sizeable number of Democrats are more willing to side with Israel’s sworn enemies, including Hamas than with Israel.
Israel is in an existential struggle for it’s very survival.

Existential?

So if Al-Qaeda says they want to destroy America, it makes our wars in the Middle East “existential?” Nah
It’s never that simple.
How credible is the threat?
If they’re capable of making good on it then you absolutely hit them first. If they’re a bunch of wannabe loons then you laugh it off while keeping an eye on it.

Big difference. The US is not surrounded on every side by Al-Qaeda and Al-Qaeda having the ability to launch raids or missles at any time of the day or night.
People with missles and guns who want to kill Israelis are literally just a few hundred yards away.
I think you should at least try and visualize what that would feel like if you were an Israeli. It is a fear of possible sudden death 24x7x365

Try this on as a comparison.

Branch Davidians in Waco, Tx. Apparently peaceful to outsiders but were considered a threat because of their stockpile of weapons. So, our government moves in with a show of force. They defend (or attack depending on your persuasion) and the whole compound with men, women, and children is incinerated.

AFAIK, that cult never called for the destruction of Americans, Wacovians (?), Texans, Christians, et al. But they were such a perceived threat they were confronted. Hamas openly calls for the destruction of Israel. Has a history of terrorism.

My point is, when the threat is on your backyard, it is typically seen in a much more profound or existential light.

Note: By using the Waco massacre as a comparison, I am not showing approval of the approach taken with that group.

You're answering the question of how much you'll dispute the clear message that you yourself posted.
I didn't ask for clarification because it was already very clear. There's no other meaning.

That's some Joe Biden level cynicism. You know as soon as this war subsides that Bibi's out and likely in prison. And you want him to address Congress because of votes? Votes for who? .

Yooooo @Rasputin_Vol

Hamas says 270. IDF says 100.

Let’s just call it 200.

That’s 50 innocent Palestinian civilians for every Israeli hostage rescued. 50:1

What’s an acceptable ratio?

What’s an acceptable ratio of dead Palestinians for every American hostage rescued? I got a number. Interested in yours.
Not enough Hamas/Palestinian Hamas supporters to make the ratio.

He's been reading the memos. It's a talking point.
That word has been part of my vocabulary for quite some time. I think I started using it long ago when reading reviews of Bergman films that spoke of his obsession with “existential questions”. The Seventh Seal was a particular film which elicited a deep study by me.
So just don’t assume that just because you disagree with someone that they are a backwards rube.
“Memo” indeed 🙄

You first.
Uuuhhh
I already have.

I can’t decide if you’re a troll just trying to argue regardless of a core belief or legitimately lacking intelligence.
Seriously.
You asked why I called out one guy.
I gave you a potential reason
You said I called out the whole group. I didn’t.
I explained a reason why I consider many people who identify with those religions ****. Which isn’t the only reason but it’s a big one for me. I would elaborate further if someone asked.
I asked you if they could be that way and still be good people. You said no.
Now you hide from clarification on why you think they’re good or bad?

You have no grounds to ever say people are ducking questions or being dishonest/dificult. You’re either what you accuse others of or have no foundation of being.

At this point, answer or don’t.
