No, I am only speaking of political reality. The mistake would be the alienation and possible loss of some percentage of the Jewish vote. This has nothing to do with Netanyahu or Israel; it is about purposely turning your back on one of the most reliable voting blocks in your coalition. As closely divided as American politics is today, even a loss of 10% of the Jewish vote can tip the scales in multiple close races.I can't believe you think Israel and Netanyahu are so precious that this would be the greatest mistake of all time. Why on earth should this matter so much? He's not Jesus and it's just a country/government.
