Israel vs Palestinians

Good point, we should proceed with caution. If sympathetic comments were filtered out it would be misleading.
Agreed. Social media seems to be the soap box for the extremes. I am not pretending those attitudes don't exist in the larger society. But I don't think they exist with the vitriol and venom we see on the socials.

I know Reddit, 4chan, Tumbler, and twitter don't accurately portray Americans...or at least, the Americans I know.

That's not what you were saying a few months ago. You were going on about how Palestinians were welcome to immigrate to Israel and those already living there were treated well and as equals. I suppose now you'll come up with new definitions for some more terms.
Ya… that’s what I’ve always said.
There’s a difference between Palestinians and Arab Israelis. I don’t give a **** what Ras propaganda says. I’ll go with what I’ve seen in person. I know many Arab Israelis that live in Israel in peace and are respected by everyone who knows them.
But they aren’t Palestinians….they’re Israeli.

But you knew that all ready.

I've understood Slice's position on the hate the two sides have for each other as mostly coming from their leaders. There is the other side where the people are just trying to do what they can to be good (or better than they've been historically) to each other, too.
It’s not difficult for people who aren’t trying to spin things

Politics has a tendency to make people want to draw a line in the sand and fight over the differences. For some, it is even fun. In many ways, It isn't as easy as you say.
First, you deal with a condition which makes it challenging to comprehend and express the written word. I try to keep that in mind when reading your posts. You do a great job communicating but occasionally a little slip happens. Also, we tend to read each other's posts in an aggressive tone and craft a reply in a defensive tone. The other person does the same. And the cycle perpetuates.

With all that said, dissent makes a message board intriguing. When all is rainbows and roses, it gets dull.

It does bring me joy at times. It should not but it does.
The more…….well you know what I’m saying.

Caring or not doesn’t change the fact that this isn’t the only time there have been pauses for humanitarian aide.
And you miss the point. You said it was for humanitarian aid, which is BS. It was because they had suffered catastrophic losses. The motive behind the ceasefire means a lot.

They openly say Israeli lives are worth more than Palestinian lives. But a few of them get upset when I call them white supremacists. I bet these were also some of the same ones 4-5 years ago saying "All Lives Matter"...

Just hypocrisy on full display and they don't even try to hide it.
How many dead Palestinians is an ok number for every freed American hostage?
