It comes down to this...

Basically I'm gonna be sitting here watching selection Sunday hoping not to hear MTSU, Ole Miss. Boise or La Salle's name called. If/when anyone of those are called it decreases our chances, I'm so nervous. The bigger ones IMO are MTSU and La Salle, if both names are called not a good sign.

To think... If MTSU just wins their conference tourney, we are probably in right now without much argument.

True, but if we get literally the last spot in the tournament, we will have benefited a lot from UConn's APR sanction and the injury to UK's Noel.

Hopefully, Zo wins some big ones early next season so we don't have to go through this every year.
Vols are turning my white hair blue.

Yup...all things considered we really caught a good run of luck...tigers won yday in ot vs smiss, mary loses, bama loses, ky loses, virg loses, lasalle loses, baylor loses, boise loses...mtsu loss and ole miss run the only negatives

Y'all called it

Corrected ... Lunardi says 3 schools - MTSU, La Salle, Tennessee - are fighting for final 2 slots

The only difference the SEC champ game makes is seeding. If Ole Miss wins, I think they'll get a 10 seed.

If they lose they'll be in Dayton First 4

May come down to splitting hairs like:
Best road wins:
TN
TAM #102
Vandy #108

MTSU
FIU #112
UCF #103

Best OOC wins:
TN
Mass #57
WS #37

MTSU
Ole Miss #50
UCF #102

On the surface the mtsu argument is compelling..."hey, look...we went 19-1 in our.conference winning by 18/game, then did just what the committee says they want us to do...we scheduled the 8th best non conf and won 28 games.. 98%+ of 28 win teams have made it, 98%+ of rpi <30..we did everything that was asked of us"

nevermind how the heck their ooc is 8th.. Or that the details once you dig are not flattering, you can obviously make a strong case for them although we are.more worthy imo.

On a twitter at GVX it was mentioned that no team with fewer than 3 Top 100 wins has ever gotten into the tourney.

I bleed orange, always have. But I will be honest, we had some AWFUL losses, as well as not so good looking play with the visual test. My gut is telling me we miss the field. I hope not but I have already prepared myself to not be let down. It's just how it is.

Last year we had 3 awful losses but none this year. Georgia is a good team.

It could go either way. Just wait, all of this focus on MTSU and Tennessee will be overshadowed and some random team will either miss or be put in.
