It comes down to this...

To be honest I don't care. This team looked like we had rolled over dead after losing to Georgia the first time, then when on the hottest streak in the country. In that time we had a chance to make the tourney and found our leader for next seasons potential monster team. I'm happy either way. This team came together and gave it their all. We should solute them and coach Martin for never giving up.

I couldn't agree more. But think about how valuable some tournament experience would be for next year's team.

One of the top bracketologists just said this "Tennessee has great wins and does not have the bad losses Ole Miss has. One win over Mizzou in SEC tourney does not change things THAT MUCH."

Nice to know someone is still on our side vs. Ole Miss!

I don't understand how you can have no good wins, a SOS in triple digits yet an RPI in the top 25????? It rewards wins more than competition.

Who and where?

Road wins against mediocre teams and wins against conference favorites in garbage conferences. Tony Jones was great at scheduling low majors who we should kill but who were picked to win their conference. By doing this we show on paper beating a team that say goes 23-8...makes our SOS very good since SOS is calculated by your opponents W-L.

It was amazing how that staff could schedule for the RPI. It was rather brilliant.

They're also talking about how if Ole Miss played Vandy on some random day in January, nobody would watch and nobody would care. Really love when some of these guys point out how you can't have an overreaction to a win just because it's a few days before selection sunday, it's no more impressive than a win in the regular season.

Maybe this has already been discussed but here's another angle to look at these 5 teams.

Tenn would give the SEC four teams in the field as we all seem to expect ole miss to be in.

Mtsu would be 2 sunbelt teams.

LaSalle would be how many A10 teams?

Boise would be how many Mountian West teams?

Committee doesn't look at who to take based on how many that would put in from each conference.

5 for both, I believe.

They can say that all they want but I don't believe that.

I like our chances alot here.

SEC 4
A10 4 or 5
mountain west 5
Sunbelt 1 or 2

The power Conference gets the nod

MWC and A10 are both regarded as better conferences this year so that would kind of go against your theory

MTSU, Ole Piss, and Boise are all plenty deserving to be in. MTSU's SOS and RPI will do it for them. Ole Miss earned theirs this weekend and anyone who says they don't deserve a spot is a hater at this point. Boise would likely get in just based on their quality wins.

I honestly believe if it comes down to the Vols and La Salle that the committee will put us in. La Salle is in no way, shape, or form a tournament team. That loss to CCSU is brutal for them. It would be ridiculous for them to make it over any one of the listed teams.

Also, cloftonftw5 has a cool avi.

Last I saw had us and the A10 right at virtually the same rpi conferences. Don't see them getting 2 more bids

I am suggesting we get the same as the A10 or the sunbelt gets only 1

It's close, they're ahead, but close. They've been hyped all year so that helps...They have 4 locks, SEC has 2.

I agree with your final point basically...I've said la Salle, MTSU and UT for 2 spots.
